Right, they were so shaking that they attacked the Israeli troops occupying their territories in October 1973, only one year after that interview. Years later and as a result of this war, Dayan was forced to give up the very same Sharm ElSheikh that he, in that interview, said he wouldn’t give up, not even in return for peace lol.

I suggest at a minimum both Saudi Arabia & Egypt support the Palestinians. Iran strongly supports Hezbollah which are primarily active in Lebanon. It’s all sickening geopolitics.

No they don't. Matter of fact, Egypt built a wall to keep them out. And hamas absolutely hates the Saudi ruling family. I think you're confusing them with Qatar.

That was a different era. The Saudis and Egyptians strongly support Israel against Hamas. The Saudis support them because of the oncoming Abraham accords and the opportunities to make a lot more money dealing with oil with Israel and America. The Egyptians support them because Hamas is the same thing as the Muslim Brotherhood which is and has been a big problem for Egypt. The people might act differently, but make no mistake the governments of those countries want Israel to finish the job. Iran on the other hand is the other way around, before the Islamic Regime, they had a great relationship with Israel, The Iranian people love and support Israel and their government/regime is hellbent on destroying it. We hear about iran because they heavily fund Hamas and 100% fund Hezbollah which is a much more serious threat than Iran. As unbelievably of a person that Moshe Dayan was, the things he's saying here are in regards to a totally different era and many, many wars have transpired since then that has totally changed the geopolitics of the region.

Actually the opposite, what happens now in Gaza proves it is true, they want to leave but the Egyptians wont open the gate. Not just that, all this time when Hamas was in power they had to limit the amount of people exiting Gaza otherwise they would probably have a few hundreds of thousands left in the strip. They are EAGER to leave, just open the gate and see for yourself
