I'm a 69 yr old record producer/ drummer, highly skilled, and an ELP fan. This is the greatest killer copy of this song I have ever heard. Stunning, to say the least. I also am a musical prick. I hope after this gig you guys went out and had a few give each other hugs and told yourselves that was GREAT. Cause it was. What care to detail and respect for the original. WOW, Great. This has always been an emotional song for me. Even more so now in the sad absence of both Greg Lake and Keith Emerson, thanks for putting a little shine on this jewel of progressive rock gods ELP and keeping the love alive✌️
My guess is that 85% of the people at the picnic had never heard this piece. "From the Beginning" is a superb introduction to ELP for anyone under 40 who'd never heard of them.

You guys must live in a magical neighborhood! That was pretty damned near the best cover I've ever heard of "From the Beginning" . Awesome is a term that is too often used and seems to have lost any weight it used to carry, so all I can say is that upon listening to it again, a couple of times, it is the best cover, you guys did a terrific job. Greg would of been delighted. Another great job guys. People think this is an easy sound do duplicate because ELP made it look so effortlessly. I'm impressed and I've played for over 50 yrs.
A few days ago the Neighbourhood Picnic Band appeared on my YT front page. I thought what the hell and ignored it. Then it appeared again so I listened and watched, now I am hooked. Looks like the band only existed for a short spell in 2015. They did great justice to all the music that they played. I have subscribed, but sad that they don't seem to be performing now.
