I have been following LCA Tejas ever since I was studying in Standard 7. Now, I have completed my 3 years P. G. programme and all I can say is that it has been a very beautiful experience for me, as an ardent follower, to see this bird start from a humble beginning to become what it is today. The Tejas came to me in the form of an old Magazine front page story in my school library and I was sweetly surprised to learn that our country had ventured to create a fighter aircraft and that the aircraft had successfully made its first flight. I still remember the photo of the aircraft with its fuselage and wings painted in tricolor taking off the runway. Days turned in weeks, weeks into months and the months into years as I read more about this bird achieving new milestones. The Tejas story has been like a little baby that has come of age. With the flow of time, it has clocked more flight hours, featured advanced avionics, new engine, tested above the clouds in the Himalayas and in the scorching heat of desert, fired Missile, dropped bombs, rendered into more version like the trainer and the Navy and all without a single mishap speaks volumes for itself. So, extrapolating from the history of this Aircraft, we can be sure its capability will only rise with the time. Now, when we see this aircraft put on spectacular show in Foreign air show, it only makes us proud and thank all who contributed their sweet and blood to this program in the service of this Nation. P. S. The best shot of LCA Tejas, for me, is when a trailing LCA approaches the leading LCA and make left-right adjustments and finally does a roll [all captured from the underbelly camera in the leading LCA, site: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jLHLjm-oxF4.html skip to 2:00 in the video]. It's really a treat to watch the Tejas making such beautiful moves. Hats off to our scientist and all others for giving Tejas to this Nation. God Bless Team Tejas!
I have been watching the progress of LCA from 1980 onwards. I am fortunate that I could attend Dr A P J Abdul Kalam class and as usual we has Q & A session. When I asked about the LCA he mentioned that by the time DRDO, ADA and HAL and complete the upgrade another demand for the upgrade will be on the table and in the process he jokingly mentioned L (Latest) C (Confused) A (Aircraft). When I the present LCA I am thrilled and proud that after HF-24 Marut the LCA is touching new horizons. I am proud as an Indian and wish DRDO, ADA and HAL for their continued success and glory. Jai Hind
I like LCA Tejas. I would like to fly this LCA Tejas my son namely "TEJAS" now he studying in Sainik School Satara & he also like to join IAF. I am proud to be an Indian.
We want only Indigenous fighters like Tejas mk1, mk1 and AMCA. No more foreign product to our air force. Plz do something sir. Tell our government no need of obsolete fighters like f16
Tejas is really a good 4++ gen fighter aircraft. We must induct atleast 200 LCA to IAF irrespective of other inductions. In this way our hard gained expertise will not be sabotaged.
Wow! Thanks for this you guys! Seeing this sweet bird over my home every day for over a decade and I used to always be pissed at the lack of media coverage on such a great achievement..............................................not any more! Jai Hind.
Indian Air Force needs to induct 300 Tejas minimum. Then keep tinkering and get Industry/HAL to create various variations/improvementd as the Indian air force gets the feel for the plane. Eve
TEJAS has actually has a lot potential if used properly and upgraded on time it can actually fill many categories of fighter aircrafts within the Indian Air force
Tejas 🇮🇳 fighter jet is better than f-16. Our govt. Must help to increase production line up for Tejas fighter jet. Thank you Tejas 🇮🇳team for developing and providing such a wonderful fighter jet to nation. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
As this is our first aircraft. We faced some problems for the first time. But we did our best. The next aircraft that will come will be much better than tejas so if navy need better aircraft it has to wait for few more years.
is not big or small but building your own system is the ESSENCE OF TECHNOLOGY and constantly upgrading it. I went to Israel and had the opportunity to see the defence research in Israel and was amazed to see how small it is by comparison to USA but quality of Israel technology is very high class.
Air Comodore Varma, from the other side of the world, thank you for sharing this amazing achievement & the way Top Gun Pilot handles an emergency & lands sucessfull saving man & equipment You are the face of many individuals on a program which produced the Tejas & coupled to dedicated tactics can be a formidable tool Now the million dólar question, the politics has to make an effort to export this weapon to friendly sphere of influence & re-coup some of the research spent on this program When I said politics I also say Indian Customs & Excise Do you know how dificult is to return an aviation spare part to America? so all country has to have the will , but in my view the most dificult step is already done I defenetely will open a bottle of champagne but Indians might have a diferent way of celebrating, so Indian chai will also do Sir
It's just the beginning, There is lot more to come. Only thing that we indians need to do is to trust ourselves and our countrymen then their will be no effect of western or chinese media on our programs and achievement. In last 1. We were a great nation 2. We are a great nation 3.We'll remain a great nation till eternity "Jai hind".......
