Today I popped into Steam Incorporated to check out what's going on down in their yard as of late and they had some interesting things going on! I was kindly let up into the cab to observe the shunt with Peter Steer at the controls of ORB2 and a couple of shunters doing all the dirty work on the ground. Please note the disclaimer, that some of the shots did some out bumpy due to the track conditions along those slow speed sidings, just something to note.
Also another thing, I noticed the shots came out a bit dark, but it was was a bit of a dark gloomy day, so whatever I guess.

After some helpful lads in the comments helped me figure out how to eliminate the shaking from the shunter and correct the darkness (which looking at the original clips off my camera are in fact light and normal), this shouldn't happen again. Learn something new everyday!

If your shots are ever too dark you can always brighten them up if you have color correction on your editing software. Always better to have underexposed shots as overexposed are impossible to salvage. Learnt that the hard way!

Thanks for the advice Ben! Is there an option for that on Premiere Pro? I'll have to try it next time my shots come out a bit dark :)

@@SpottingWithSam If you're using Premiere Pro, you should look at using the Warp Stabiliser effect. It would literally transform this video from being shaky to being as stable as a normal tripod shot.

@@SpottingWithSam Yes. Premiere pro has a good colour grading section where you can brighten, sharpen and retouch shots. Also to add to hunters comment. Yes warp stabilizer is very useful. It worked wonders for my latest video

@@NZREngine Cheers Ben! I'll get some practice and do some exploring of the settings on the app and learn to edit to a higher standard. Thanks!
