Stefan, wonderful as always. I feel like I've gone on holiday for a few minutes every time I watch one of your videos! This is very similar to my Aitor. Thanks again!
Very beautiful knife, I love the lines and blade shape. It has a restrained sense of style about it. Interesting that it has a convex edge. Certainly no bad thing at all, makes it all the more desirable as a user knife. Thanks for yet another wonderfully shot review Stefan.
I spent a few days in Firenze (Florence) once and I know I will return back to this unbelievably beautiful city. And this knife will return with me back home ;). Thanks for a great tip, Stefan! P.S.: I especially like the flat grind ended with a convex edge, promise of great cutting abilities.
Aitor of Spain, makes a very similar knife, the Castor in three sizes. It's not as nice as that one, but it's MUCH less expensive. A hardware store in my little midwestern town has them for $18-$21.
Great video Stefan :-) I love that knife pattern - you see it quite often in low-price basic local knives, so it is great to see a top-quality knife in that shape. The fluted scales and convex edge are very nice details. An excellent find!
Very good presentation, my family comes from the Scarperia zone and I've been visiting Saladini cutlery shop once. You're also rather good in speaking Italian, Stefan. Your new italian subscriver :-)
Stefan, Great review. I especially enjoyed the opening shots of the video paired with the music. Evocative of the Italian Renaissance Period (at least for me). The knife itself is like a work of art/sculpture. Beautiful simple lines - I'm pretty sure I've never referred to a knife in those terms before :) but it really grabbed me. Thanks for sharing. Take care, Larry
wow. this ones got a decent sized blade on huh? on the larger sizze for sure. you make us want to eat and travel the world. and to discover pockets of cutlery makers. there is more to this hobby than spyderco or benchmade
Thank you! I can't remember speaking Italian in this video, especially since I don't speak Italian at all. I just rattled off some geographical names. LOL Next time you visit the Saladini shop, ask for Laura and say hello to her from me.
