Wow! You Jam cover band fans are relentless.. but I admire that and long live the stranglers however, they were one of those bands that still held interest even after Hugh Cornwell left the group, unlike the fake jam but if it makes you feel better, I haven’t listened to Paul Weller in years. In fact, after the jam split up, I bought the first style council 45 Speak like a child the B-side party chambers was brilliant, but other than that lost interest and Bruce Foxton’s solo record was shite even he knows that i’ll take the original jam with all three original members any day. I want to see From The Jam/ The Skids again in Birmingham next year but at this Gig they are supported by a different band ( Purple Hearts). I could go to Coventry HMV Empire instead. Does anyone know if it's a good venue? I've been told that the only decent venue in the West Midlands where they sometimes perform is The Robin 2 nr Wolverhampton. Any comments please?

Saw them when called The Gift when it was Rick, Russ and Dave Moore. Have to say they were good but this is pretty poor now…both Russ and Bruce both look like they’d rather be elsewhere and just dialling it is. Oh well, guess the taxman’s shouting cause he wants his dough.
