At first I thought he wasn't doing a great job reprising the role. I didn't see the Terry Silver of KK3. But then came the fight with "pretty boy" Johnny, and WOOO!!!!

You gotta remember terry wasn’t using drugs in season 4 like he was in karate kid 3 so of course he was gonna be somewhat different. That’s probably why Thomas didn’t make terry look like a lunatic in season 4. He made him look calm and evil

I never known terry silver was a billionaire

Millionaire or Billionaire, we learned from Karate Kid 3 that he’s very wealthy. Based on one of the Season 4 clips where Kreese visits him he is still doing pretty well in life.

Terry Silver will also be the reason the 4th season will be the best of the series. And I'm gonna say something else too. Terry Silver is what he is because of the actor who played him, Thomas Ian Griffith. If any other actor had played him, he would not be what he is. Thomas Ian Griffith made that character.

Unfortunately a lot of people particularly the younger generation watching cobra Kai haven’t seen the movies in full. Each to their own but I think it’s a bad move.

Admiral Tarkin from star wars played by peter Cushing, was one of the nicest actors in films, someone once said its better to play the villian.

@Paul for one it’s over 30 years it’s called growth lol plus he’s old as hell now. But he’s conflicted the whole season about who he is who he was and who he wants to be. He even has a line that explains why he’s not the same as kk3 “I was so hopped up on cocaine and revenge” the man saw clarity it’s as simple as that. I think it was great especially come the end when you realise as the person who originally started the thread he hasn’t lost a step.

@@JSmoothSoul it boils down to him behaving a lot like a typical 80s coke fiend villain in part three and then it got made canon when he said he was hopped up on cocaine at that time in season 4. To me it makes sense given that he had the necessary disposable cash to support a cocaine habit and he was behaving like a maniac tormenting Daniel-san over a kid’s karate tournament

Not only bat shit crazy, but crazy rich too this time. He'll seem untouchable for a while.

He was dumping toxic and nuclear waste in third world countries ... Terry is as rich as he was back then ... the only difference is he has tasted defeat from Miyagi and Daniel in the past ... which makes him more dangerous now ... he won't let that happen again.

Dude for real...i knew something big was brewing but WOW! Talk about blindsiding everyone with a great plot twist that sets up everyone even worse and is gonna have Kreese's return be even crazier. All of this drama is 100% because of Thomas legit pumping a much needed level of fun into all of this crazy drama for a second time 30 years later...dude was born to be Terry Silver and just... Wow

Haven't been stoked for a new season like this in a long time. Kreese was growing on me.

Seriously. So good at being a bad guy and selling. His reprised role as Silver in Cobra Kai is astounding too.

Check him out in the Rock Hudson Story on RU-vid he did a wonderful job in that. Really is a good actor.

He's talented. I just think he need more opportunities, to showcase what he can do. I'm glad he's doing Cobra Kai. TERRANCE OUT

I'll go even further and say Silver MAKES Season 4. Without TIG great layered performance and the Silver story, it would just be a repeat of earlier seasons for the most part but TIG injects more layers and intrigue into the character and brings new dimensions to the story to keep it feeling fresh.

@@erikrios2084 Well Season 5 has officially wrapped shooting, so yeah it's coming at some point. IDK about Mike Barnes, but what I will say is that I really want Snake from KK3 to show up and fight Stingray. Now that's a match to end all matches 😂

POSSIBLE SPOILERS Yeah, be interesting if he ever goes to the "cage" (prison) again. I'm sure his money and influence has kept him out so far. Hmmm.

That what makes his character work: His energy. All Thomas had to do was reverse it....from positive energy to negative energy (in the sense that he's taking his students into a dark path).....and we get Terry Silver.

They need more episodes per season, at 30 mins a pop it’s a waste that they only do 10 episodes.

Oh,he clearly felt awful about his behaviour,he meant it. He betrayed Kreese cause kreese would never see him as an equal and would never let him live without guilt. Terry saw that Kreese doesnt really live by No mercy and refused to follow a false god.

I think it was a sincere apology. He hasn’t reverted back to old Terry yet. Honestly the beer moment where kreese pulled the guilt card I think is what truly reverted him back, but this time he got rid of his weakness.

Imo he wasn’t one dimensional in kk3, I hear a lot of people say that but I don’t agree. Was he over the top at times, sure. But they kinda addressed with with his backstory of being coked up at the time. Terry was the sole reason kk3 was good. You really believed he was a good guy trying to help Daniel even though as the audience we knew behind the scenes it was a plot. His portrayal of being Daniels friend while scheming to destroy him was definitely believable, to me kreese in KK1 was one dimensional. Both actors now in CK have more material to work with and have expanded on the characters for sure. That’s what’s great about CK, all the old characters now have had 30+ years of experience and the script is fantastic, you get to see more of the nuances, faults and strengths of characters like Daniel, Johnny, kreese, silver, chozen (short appearance but you saw his growth). It’s great to see.

@@soakedbearrd Well said. Although I think they wrote that in BECAUSE his acting skills are dramatically better now. He was incredible and multi-faceted in this one.
