Before this started, me and these two guys who’d never met each other before either were talking about this song and Fake Tales/Fluorescent Adolescent etc saying like I hope they play something like that. Then Alex said ‘Last night, these two bouncers’ and everyone lost their shit and went mental. The song ended and obviously everyone had moved about but at the end of R U Mine, I turned to my left and saw one of them. We both laughed, then the third guy turned around and saw us two and we lost our shit and then Alex started singing R U Mine again and it was all just madness. What a night.
this crowd is amazing, they sung every thing, the words, the guitar riffs, the la la da’s, even the part where alex groans/grunts right before the break @ 2:21, that part gives me absolute chills, so amazing
holy shit these boys earned theirs. I remember seeing them come up in 05/06. saw one of their first international gigs in Norway summer of 06. we were barely 200 people by the stage of a small local festival. I remember thinking "well fuck, these boys wrecked this place, fucking hope they make it big". they made it fucking big
This has always been my favourite tune by them and after seeing them 5 times and them never having it on their setlist I thought they'd retire it. I hope the play it next time I see them.
i was wondering if he was going to sing the na na na part, but when the crowd started singing it on point too gave me the chills. good ass crowd wish i was there to witness it
Last night, these two bouncers and one of em's alright The other one's the scary one and his way or no way, totalitarian He's got no time for you, looking or breathing How he don’t want you to, so step out the queue He makes examples of you and there's nowt you can say Behind they go through to the bit where you pay And you realize then that it's finally the time To walk back past ten thousand eyes in the line And you can swap jumpers and make another move And still in your brain you've got something to prove To all the smirking faces and the boys in black Why can't they be pleasant? Why can't they have a laugh? He's got his hand in your chest, he wants to give you a duff Well secretly I think they wants ya all to kick off They want arms flying everywhere and bottles as well It's just something to talk about, a story to tell ya Well, I'm so glad they turned us all away, we'll put it down to fate I said a thousand million things that I could never say this morning Got too deep, but how deep is too deep? This town's a different town today Said, this town's a different town to what it was last night You couldn't have done that on a Sunday That girl's a different girl today Said, that girl's a different girl to what you kissed last night You couldn't have done that on a Sunday Of course not Well, I'm so glad they turned us all away We'll put it down to fate I thought a thousand million things That I could never think this morning Got too deep, but how deep is too deep? Last night, what we talked about It made so much sense But now the haze has ascended It don't make no sense anymore I said last night, what we talked about It made so much sense But now the haze has ascended It don't make no sense anymore
Those cold nights in Sheffield city centre, a tough place to grow up as a young man who thinks he wants to be a person he’ll ultimately not be. now the haze has ascended it dunt make no sense anymore.

It’s still British. In Britain are accents vary from north England to south. He sounds more northern in 2007 yet in 2018 sound more southern (London is in the south). Same as Americans and how different states have different accents
Alicja Olejnik the guys clearly exaggerating chill, but yeah for most fans the new albums isn't as good as their previous. Similar to oasis their later albums were good but there first 2 and arguably 3 were masterpieces
