Cognac colour! The shippensburg fashion archives has a very similar one but 1893-94 instead!

The color is beautiful, and I love how they did that lace-covered yoke. What would be a modern replacement for the brush braid? I believe I have heard some other costuming RU-vidrs talk about using it, but perhaps they were using some very, very old stock that they found somewhere.

You can still find old stock of brush braid knocking around. They do still sell wool braid which is also used to bind skirts.
