From the tracks to history: A tribute to class 412 of MŽ

These trains, that once ran on the tracks in Macedonia, now are a piece of history. The Soviet-made electric multiple units, manufactured by RVR once were a common sight at the train stations in the country. During the time they got forgotten and neve brought back to life by ŽRSM.
I have compiled some footage I have from 412-053/054 during 2015 and 2016, the last 412 that ran on the tracks in Macedonia.
The borrowed footage belongs to its respective owners, and it's used by permission.

Hmm, that was a nice tribute for sure, even though most videos are low quality. It made me wonder why railfans in Yugoslavia called that EMU "Gorbacov". Their basic construction dates back to 1957, even if some changes have been made in late 70's. Here, in the USSR, we got similar trains as ER2, ER2R and ER2T. Not as advanced as Yugoslav spec, still good by its time compared to Polish "Gomulkas" (EN 57/71). The interior were different too - we had hard wooden or plywood benches all the way 'til 1978 with some exceptions, no specific luggage section, wooden window frames.

The Macedonian ones had three coaches painted in yellow and red, but the front remained blue and white.

Yeah, that was the 412-053/054 one. It had got all painted in orange and yellow, but the original 054 head suffered in a fire, so they took the 060 head and renumbered it 054, and it remained blue.
