From the Vault - The Canberra Oils - now in High Definition and Widescreen 

In this video we cover three trips of the Canberra Oil train in its final years of running.
In the first segment, filmed on 10th April 1999, we follow the impressive GM-ALCO consist of 8004-42210-48153-42219 from Bungendore to Wingello.
The second segment is a short clip of 42220 and 8035 leading the Oil train at Molonglo Gorge on 5th January 2000.
The final segment, shot ten days later on 15th January 2000, captures the last running of the 422 Class locomotive on Freightcorp services as we follow 42210 and 42219 leading the train from Molonglo Gorge to Goulburn where 8141 was added to it and then onto Exeter.
Videos in the Along Closed Lines series were originally shot in 4 x 3 Standard Definition and have been upscaled to High Definition and reformatted to widescreen. They generally cover movements that can now no longer take place.
