I'm surprised you didn't mention that the treasure knight fight was hidden in what appears to be a treasure stage which was a good way to catch the player off guard
It also gave me a small should have seen that one comming feeling having just experienced the goal fakeout inn the level before. Did not stop me from laughing throughout the bossfight though.
@@sirvilhelm2360 Every single card game has that, some cards are just meant to be weak and strong. If we're talking about card strength Pokemon is WAY worse.
@@Moss_Dude I wouldn't know, I don't play Pokemon. I'm just sayin' it would have to be heavily tweaked. Some cards are literally the same as another, just that it is a level stronger. I don't think the fact that one card game has overpowered cards means it's somethin' that should be put into other card games.
@@sirvilhelm2360 Having weaker cards can be a benefit in jousus though. It will have difficulties pushing you opponent's cards out of favorable positions, but it will also struggle to push yours out of them. It won't block an opponent from moving into a favorable position, but it won't block you either. All of the downsides of weaker cards can become mirrored into upsides if played correctly. And pokemon is just the one example I gave of that, EVERY card game has cards that are just plain worse than others.
If shovel knight showdown ever gets an update where they add some sort of final smash (or maybe they already have, I haven't played it in awhile) I think for Mr hat 11:35 would be perfect
Great video! I've seen your shovel knight boss ranking before and when it came into my recommended I thought you might have done one for king knight as well. That's when I saw your subscriber count... Your videos are so cool and your production seems amazing! WHEN WILL RU-vid FAVOUR YOU?
King of Cards is my favourite of the four campaigns. I love horror stuff so I thought Specter of Torment would be my absolute favourite but King Knight's gameplay and personality won me over. It was so cool fighting Specter Knight with his Specter of Torment Curios and then having to fight his flying form with the cloak, plus it was cool to gain a bit of his respect after the second battle
I'm surprised on how little people saw this. It's pretty high quality and very entertaining. I'll probably sub to you in the future. Anyways, anybody in the comments know the hardest boss in this DLC?
i liked your rankings except for cardia. i hated that boss because it didnt let you use your vigor and a lot of its attacks were near impossible to avoid. totally agree with specter knight as number 1 tho
Thanks for the comment, Elianna. I think the reason I like Cardia was because it was a massive test of skill. I liked the challenge of needing to figure out other ways to win. To your other point, Specter was awesome in this campaign!
I'm gonna be honest. I find the enchantress first phase boring and at times unfair. There really isn't a single standout thing about the fight I can think of from all 4 campaigns. The true final boss is a joy every time though.
Oh well. I have the disclaimer in the beginning of the video specifically for comments like this. Sorry about your brain. Mine didn’t break when you misspelled “annunciate.” Honestly, thank you for your feedback though. I’ll keep that in mind next time I discuss him.
TEEJHERO doesn’t matter that much. Really it’s just nitpicking. Really enjoyed the video anyway. And thanks for the correction on my comment. I would change it, but then you’d probably have to change your comment and anyway it’s probably funnier with the mistake.
I always delay the propeller Knight battle as long as I can stand it. I hate that the damage he does to your ship doesn’t just go away or get repaired. Kinda hard to feel like a king when the walls of my flying castle are held together by jury-rigged plywood.
Not sure if it is me or not but I felt Giga Cardia is the worst boss not only in King of Cards but the entire Shovel Knight package altogether. I feel she goes against the spirit of Shovel Knight boss fights (as a lot of times King of Cards did) and in the wrong way: - she goes into "invincible" mode and you have to wait while dodging without the option to punish her - you have to fight without any energy and thus your moveset becomes way more limited - her patterns are dull and repetitive and she does not feel like an agent that fights you but like a robot that replays the same moves and one that just so happen to collide with you by accident I do not think Giga Cardia feels in line with what boss fights in Shovel Knight offer. She felt more like a late Mega Man boss and you felt so restricted in your arsenal as if you are Hollow Knight. I really hated that battle. I think it is the only one that I never bothered replaying after my initial 1-3 runs of the game.
Giga cardia deserves bottom rank, I've never seen a more embarrassingly programed boss fight in a professional game like this. Having the entire fight be "wait for the moment to strik-YOU BLINKED. WAIT ANOTHER 3 MINUTES." In a physics based game is awful, and the devs clearly ran out of ideas very early on and thought 'what if the boss just throws a bunch of unavoidable untelegraphed bullshit. Triumvirate was so fun and I wish I could refight king birder but giga cardia was embarrassingly bad
