it grinds my gears to see a stylist be so rough on fragile wet hair when washing and wash scrubbing in circles like that and putting knots in the hair. than after putting knots in the hair you use a comb and comb through soaking wet hair and as you seen there was a glob of hair she pulled from the comb after that. Than that flat iron was so hot it looked like it was sending off smoke signals my god,newly relaxed hair does not need that hot of a iron.

Been natural for 25 years now and was relaxed for 35 years The relaxer was basically peeling my scalp off because my grew so fast that my beautician had to relax my hair every 4 weeks. Tried dying my hair but the same problem with those chemicals; therefore I am now natural and grey. My hair is thick and long to my shoulder and I love it.

Relaxed. I'm a senior with lots of hand cramping when doing any kind of curling or other manipulation of my hair, so I can't see myself ever going back to natural. I'm retired now so budget wise a trip to the salon every week is out of the question. My hair is long enough to just put one braid, pony, or just wear straight. Easy.

There's no maintenance if you don't manipulate it to do what it's not suppose to do. My hair only takes an hour, tops hour in a half...because I leave it in an afro!!! Some people try to make there type 4 hair look type 3, then cry it takes so long. Accept it.

Natural…and for the most part I leave my hair alone. Wash, treat my scalp, moisturize, braid. No extensions! No heat and clip my ends when needed. Silk bonnet while sleeping!

I think you explained it so well. It's like you're not suppose to have a relaxer done by any other person who's not a cosmetologist but if you do this is the right way to do it. That's hecka Kool I think you rock.😢

I love that I got a perm after 10 years natural and NOW i see others who did the same. I felt like....my hair is not happy, im not happy. I want easy happy times with my hair. I had a vacay, went swimming, washed my hair, wrapped it (deep condition helps) wore clip ins, it blended, wore my permed hair, effortlessly cute and easy and fast styling. Very fragile so I will let it grow with love and time. I think i should perm every 4 months. It depends cause my new growth is no joke.
@mixedpopcornproductions9692
I love this! Been natural over 10 years and believe it was the worst choice for my hair - ate my edges. I'm having a battle in my head to get a relaxer or struggling through temporary silk presses just aren't cutting in the long term, like you I want easy peasy get up and go hair with zero reversion and also I want to workout😂

@itsallgoodnthehood_cornywwlol
Shoot I don't blame her, I'm satisfied with the length I have rn, a relaxer for some more manageable roller sets and braid outs starting to not look like a bad idea....

@@apara2005 I did not say that i hate my hair....i have well to do hair....and i can manage i with out a relaxer....but i prefer not too. Now, some folks thats natual head is a HOT MESS and they cant manage natural and they should go to a more managable style. Now i know what im talking about because Im the oldest of 6 girls in my family and i had to help my mom manage my sisters course long hair. Therefore i know hair and i know it very well for 40 years . And like i said and i will say it again....some of these natural styles are a HOT NAPPY MESS...and need to get to the nearest PRESSING COMB. PEACE✌

Team natural. Hair reached waist length this January. My secret is washing with natural ingredients, tension blowdrying it once every 2 weeks and oiling it every night. I personally would never use a relaxer, however I’m pro relaxer for those persons who need the chemical to keep their hair stretched.
