I have always wanted to but a corvette sight unseen in eBay and make a video about it! This is ALL THE WORK that went into making the car from a non running pile of parts to a functioning, running and driving C3 Corvette that anyone would love to have!
If interested in a TheCorvetteBen RU-vid Channel window decal, please send $5 through PayPal to Benjamin.friend56@yahoo.com. If you are international, please contact me first about price!

Hey Ben, first, I am sorry that you lost Noodle. What a great dog! Second, as I watched this video, I was shocked at how extensive the repair list became as you progressed. The exterior of the car looks so good, which masks the real problems. Your expertise and the availability of your used parts inventory make you one of a very few technicians who could pull this off, so kudos to you. Lastly, your videos were what got me through the Covid Pandemic. Your down to earth personality and patience with each car that you take on are the reasons that I keep coming back. Please keep doing what you do and sharing your experiences with the rest of us.😊

I really enjoyed this video compilation. I’ve been watching your video’s for years and this may be the best one yet. Personally, I like Resto Rods, but I respect your passion to restore these to their original design. I also appreciate that you do the repairs correctly and share your wisdom on how to do that. I look forward to your future video’s and learning more about C3’s. P.S. My condolences for the loss of your dog Noodle.

Yes. It was worth your time and effort because you 0:00 demonstrated your high level of knowledge and competence in getting it done, and you've undoubtedly impressed a great number of people. I don't know where the 1973 model fits into the grand 'Vette scheme of best to worst, but, if I had the wherewithal to get one, the '73 would be my baby. Thank you for your dedication.

Is it worth it, on many levels yes it is, You had new experiences and learned things, Which in return taught us many things, It brought back life into a drivable car, which otherwise was probably a parts car, You used alot of your parts you collected Should do more like it, even in more worse conditions, how far gone is too far gone to resurrect??? Videos Now as in money wise worth it, probably not, The cost of buying the car, shipping the car, parts regardless new or used, hours invested fixing, time will tell in how much use you get out of it til its sells, and what it sold for, Fortunately, a true car builder, builds cars to keep them alive, its not about money

Makes a good series when you tie them in sequence. I'm so old I remember when poly bushings were THE way to get a cheap handling upgrade. Theory was they were much higher stiffness (durometer) and degraded much more slowly - meaning never got stiffer or weaker. Were supposed to be much less impacted by weather. I wonder if chineseium poly is not really polyurethane but some other type of synthetic junk.

Always liked your videos. I learn so much. Sorry to hear about Noodle. She looks like my Roscoe, same coloring and size. He is 13 this week. It is sad to lose a family member. We lost Yoda in spring 2022 at age 8, Whitney in the fall of 2023 at age 15, and in June of this year we lost Oliver at age 14. We knew Yoda and Whitney at their end, but Oliver was fine then fell ill, the vet couldn't figure it out and he was gone in 4 days. Love on Chop-stick. Oliver and Archie, our cat, grew up together and played every day together. He searched the house for him for a week. Roscoe's personality has changed since he is no longer part of a pack.

Thank you for sharing.....I as former restorer without spare part corvettes in the backyard I would of failed at this project. Me as an enthusiast now in '69 Chevelle SS 396 would assume that with your knowledge that you had to purchase the Corvette at no more than 3K, put another 3K into it and sell it for no more than 11 or 12K. Am I close on the numbers. It looks like a great driver however Corvette enthusiast just expect more than value than the amount of your knowledge and what you did to this car. Yea, still the wrong color and interior with non matching numbers. I hope you made a great profit on it as to have you continue the journey of salvaging project cars to driver quality. Many thanks!!!!!😇😇 You are our HERO!!

I replaced all the old rubber bushings on my 69 about 8-9 yrs ago. Almost fell for the "up grade" idea and bought all new poly bushings for front to back. As I was going to get started I just wasn't feeling right about it. Stopped and gave it a few days to think about it. Didn't install a single poly bushing and my gut just kept feeling better to reorder all rubber originals, so I paid for both but got to tell you when I got it all done I felt I made the right decision. Only place I tried the poly was on the front stabilizer ends where I could watch them and are easy to replace if they failed. Anybody want to buy a full set of 69 Corvette poly bushings for cheap? LOL
