I just loved your narrations, make the places more interesting to watch. Unlike other channels that just showed random streets & houses which tend to be boring and hold no significance. Thank you!
Thank you for your thorough in-depth colourful visual documentary of Frome, i really enjoyed it. I've visited and enjoyed Frome many times but your video helped to add further enjoyment and appreciation of it. Much appreciation.
My mothers family, Vennell, came from Frome and Bradford on Avon. I still haven't visited the towns yet. This year maybe. Back in the 1800's they owned a fulling mill "Vennells Mill"
A beautiful little town in a beautiful part of the country. I lived there for about a year in the early 80s. Was it just last year that Paul McCartney gave a free concert in Frome whilst enroute to Glastonbury?
A tale of two towns if you live there. A magistrate I knew said even after working in London she found Frome frightening. The two sides rich incomers don't meet the locals except maybe to buy illicit substances and even then maybe not.
Another excellent tour 👍. I wish there was a way to add voice-over by magic to your older silent tours with sub-titles, as it’s so hard to watch the picture and read the text at the same time. Hope you do Lancaster and / or Morecambe soon 🎉.
@@karenblackadder1183 Been to Carlisle. It's so nice there, many historical sights like Carlisle Cathedral, Carlisle Castle, the Roman-influenced "The Citadels" structures, the city proper.
Whilst back in the UK last year, we spent a few days exploring Frome, I was very surprised by how nice it was. There is a Leat like that in Tiverton (Devon) as well.
Being someone who actually lives and works in Frome..Be aware this film has had some very selective filming angles...Example the opening scene, had he turned 180 degrees he'd have been able to film the alcoholics outside the Blue Boar pub and a cracking view of Iceland and more drunks... Don't be fooled..Frome is a dump with a few little bits of interesting history...Ps don't leave any valuables on view or you'll have to wait until the following Sunday to buy them back at the local car boot...
Last i looked had more weeds on the pavements and overgrown hedges and roundabouts than any other town in the area its a disgrace the only good thing about frome is the cheese and grain for live music brilliant venue
