I vividly remember sitting at the bar at The Roxy in Houston with my wife when this song started. I commented to her about it, saying...."Hey, honey their playing our song....honey....honey?" She had already made a bee line for the dance floor in mid sentence leaving me in the dust.
Danced so hard the first time I heard this at a club! I remember it was seamlessly mixed on the heels of Nitzer Ebb, Lightening Man - talk about a frothing frenzy. Great times!
Estou com 54 anos já estou velho, e agora ouvindo isso é como viajar no tempo 😊 é como se eu fosse jovem outra vez. A geração atual que me perdoe😅. Os Anos 80 é extremamente imbatível😅 😂
Reminds me on my duty as nurse in unit of brave boys during the siege of Sarajewo 1992-95.And handsome Liutenant Bud The Mad Dog, who infected me with love to him and hes passion for 242 music, even on the front line. Hell yeah, we are still 2gether, still listen 242.Greatings to F242 fans from WAR VETS AGAINST STUPIDITY CREW BOSNIA.
Brave boys. Lieutenant bud. Mad dog. Front lines of sarajevo. Front 242. This is an epic bad ass story. I was in l.a. at the time and all me and mad dog would have had in common would have been front 242. Wow.
Reading all these great memories of this song I have no idea where i first heard this song but everynow and again this song appears in my head and i got to sing my version of there lyrics
Caught these set of bastards in Manchester 1990....what a show.....I went from liking Howard Jones and O.M.D to these and Skinny Puppy within a week 😝Total awakening.Shnel!
Reminds me of my occasional forays to a long-gone club in NYC entitled The Bank, in the early 90s to mid 1990s, in which one could frolic on two dark and gloomy floors of industrial-gothic gloominess. The downstairs basement was much more gloomy than the main floor, and more fun, really. Upstairs you'd hear this, downstairs was more Christian Death, London After Midnight, and hardcore goth and batcave bands. Girls with long, long leather boots on. I miss it.
This was a regular on the playlist of Mean Mr. Mustards, a new wave/punk dance bar at Ohio State. Epic memories and fun in the 80’s and 90’s, not sure when it closed.
