@@sassykat2000 Mine used to be white too!! I painted just the door black about 4 years ago and the change was dramatic! And now that I've painted the frame AND door....my house looks so much better. You should give it a try!
My front door is similar to yours, black door with white trim which I’ve never liked! I had already planned to do the same thing that you did both inside & out and now I can’t wait! I may run out today & buy the paint before the stores shut down again. :(
"This is why I can't have nice things." LOL! You are so funny Renee! You and your doggies are so precious. Thank you for sharing again. You did a great job on the door!
I knew when I saw that little chihuahua that Pollux was in love with it. It is like a little baby for him that is why he does not chew on it. Sooo Sweet :)
I love the new sleek look with the frame painted and the simple fall wreath is the perfect touch❣I just had to giggle as your talking outside and Maxxie is in up on the window trying to get your attention, haha...too cute!
HI there, Renee! Your front door looks so sleek, elegant, and like it was professionally done! I can't believe you didn't tape off or use a drop cloth..... and seemingly no paint got on your clothes?! You are a better woman than I am, haha!! I make the biggest mess when I paint :-( Isn't it fun to make little changes around the house? It is so uplifting to the spirit.....
I find that tape makes it harder and messier. I’m much better free handing. Did our whole house that way....randy rolls the walls...I do the trim ❤️ And I agree that small simple changes can make a huge impact.
Well done Renee. I, too, couldn't believe you didn't use tape. I can understand that using tape can be a real frustration. You inspired me to keep the painting methods simple. I hope to do a lot of indoor painting this winter. I will keep your technique in mind. Be well, Give M & P a treat and a hug for me.
Love your Reef. And I really love your Bag. I am so glad to know you get nice gifts. I know you give great promotions on everything and you deserve to receive nice things. Good job
Renee, you sure do take a good picture. I've noticed with other pics on your you tube channel. You are so photogenic!!! I'm sure Pollux & Maxie would agree!
Girl, you did a fabulous job👍🏻 I love, love, love, dark paint colour 😍 the reef is a good accent colour. And I agree with your argument about less decor for only a few weeks! In Germany we say: not every wall has to have a a drawer or a sideboard. Give the room some air✌🏻
Hey Ms. Curly Q.....hahaha....as far as getting dog hair up....wet several paper towels and go across the area. Really works good for a quickie! So glad you got shelter dogs. Is what we wanted to do but my goodness we'd have to go bankrupt to get one!! They have made it so hard for average people to adopt a dog!!!!! It's crazy and it's why so many are left in those shelters!!!!!! Stay safe!
Renee your door in and out is beautiful! I love it! The wreath looks awesome. You have great taste. Your new purse.....love it! Maxxie and Pollux always entertaining and sweet! 💕💕💕
Loving the door, looks so good with the black framework done as well ! Just as an add on, Pollux seems so happy, he loves his new family and life away from the rescue home. Great to see.
Hello Renee!! 💛 You.persevered and got a beautiful front door. I just check dressyourdecor in instagram, is really amazing. Already inspired to do some arrangements in my home. Love ur chanel, is amazing, but your cuties, Max & Pollux brings you more followers to your channel. Your channel brings me a refresh and positive vibs during the day. Mostly your possitive and chill attitude. Love u and wish you all blessings. From Panama with💛
Rene, I asked my big sister to crochet Maxie Moo and Pollux a Dog Coat each. She has already done Moo’s coat, but we can’t gauge Pollux’s size, neck to tail and his girth. She is going boss eyed trying to work it out...🤣🤣🤣, could you measure Pollux before she goes bald trying to figure his measurements! She has picked out the wool and is chomping at the bit to start on it. She is a ER nurse and she crochets to relax after her busy shifts and loves fun projects. Thanks. ❤️🇬🇧👩🏽🦼🇬🇧
Wow! That is so nice of you Suchi JamGal. I hope Renee saw this and got back to you. There are such nice people in this world. You give me hope. Especially us animal lovers.
@@RosusaMansuran ah I’m so sorry you lost your Simba. 2 years ago we lost our 8 yr old female husky “ Majesty” to a hemangiosarcoma. A fast growing blood cancer with a huge tumor on her beautiful heart. We grieved so hard. I thought I was having a nervous breakdown at one point. A year after ( a year ago essentially) we added “ Mishka” to the family so now we have 2 female Siberian huskies again. Pollux has so many Husky traits it blows me away. His tail , that plume, is husky.
The door looks amazing!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍. Well done Renee!!!! Love the wreath. It‘s stylish and not ‘in your face’. Would love to have one of those magnetic brush holders. Fabulous design!!!! The handbag looks great on you! Enjoy the autumn time!!! 🍂🍂🍁🍁🌼🌻🌼🍂🍁And also well done for not spending lots of money for two weeks only!!!
Wow! I really like your black front door. I didn’t think I would but I do, inside and outside. As for me, my front door is dark navy, the house is a slate blue. I like it that way, so I’ll be keeping it. “Dress Your Decor” is from Paramus, NJ, just over the border and in my old home state of NJ. I’ll definitely give her a look.
Oh wow!!! I considered a navy door :). I’m sure yours is lovely 💗 I am obsessed with her Instagram page. She is very talented and shows the best ideas!
@@WelcomeToMyCurls - I just looked at her Instagram feed and she’s got some very creative ideas! Your black door is unique, more so than my navy. White is crisp and clean, but black is elegant and very modern without looking overdone.
It's Loretta. I'm a professional painter. You did such a great job. The Ziploc brush we do it. The extra paint in the paint pal also. But one extra tip is at the end of the day add just a splash of water to the paint pal so when you use it next day you don't have that heavy skim of paint on top.
Well Renee, you done did it. You had me at hello with that darn purty bag. I just bought one. Just couldn’t resist the black with pink. LOVE that combo. The 20 code didnt work and I’m assuming because they consider this bag on sale? It said invalid.
Renee, I noticed you do not tape around the window sections or frame to keep paint off. Do you use a special brush, etc., or are you just so experienced that you have no need to tape before applying paint to the door?
Door looks so much more grand now. Love it. Painting my kitchen this weekend so thanks for the tips! Can you share where you got your dough bowl and filler from that’s on your table?
Oooo have fun painting the kitchen! Are you referring to the bowl on my dining room table? If so, I got the bowl, pumpkins, and acorns all at Kirklands.
That was fun Renee- the front entry looks really classy and stylish. I had to laugh near the end at mooie on the couch, in the background - totally poised for any front yard movement. 😃 have a great week 🕊💕😚😋
Looks beautiful!!! Way to go!!! Your home is just perfect. 🖤 I’m going to look up that Instagram page and how EXCITING about your new Teddy Blake bag! It’s gorgeous!!! Lucky! 💗
There was a sliding glass door in front of the old farmyard (cotton and pickling cucumbers) house. It's very small and was very dark inside. So we opened it up taking out storage cupboards and fat L shaped counter between the kitchen and front room. And replaced the small kitchen window with a storm eight over eight . Much better. But the sliding glass door was scratched and needed to be removed so we pot French doors in place of the sliding glass door still letting in light but adding a more..whatever look to it. Better. It's white...needs to be black. Haha!
I love both of your new Teddy Blake handbags! Maybe you can do a video of what’s in your bag and how you organize it, and tips on switching out your hand bag... I think I’m finally figuring out what I need in a purse... and finally ditching the large tote I was carrying around for years... 🌟
When you said, "This is why I can't have nice things." It made me laugh. My Mom would say that.........my parents always had 3-5 rescue dogs at any given time. When they were older and traveling in the RV the dogs went with them.
I put my purse in the child’s seat, put the safety straps through the purse strap and close. Difficult for a snatch and grab. Always zip your purse to eliminate wallet or cell phone removal. Love your dogs and all your postings.
When your outside and Maxi scratches the door/window blow an air horn!!! When you catch him inside squirt him with water on the face......he will stop. I know your anxious to get it done but the first coat looks good for Halloween decor!!!
I have been patiently waiting for this video, since you mentioned in an earlier video that you were going to share. I have one question. Did you sand down the door before you painted it? Love you"ll!!
I love what you did with your door and trim. Cool accent boat with little pumpkins and acorns. Cool wreath. I love what you did with your office. Cool purse. Give the dogs lots of pets and belly rubs from me. I hope you and Randy are having a nice afternoon.
I know this is 2 years ago (almost) but what a great job, and it was a great idea. ' Dress Your Decor'. I wonder how painting your garage door to match might look.
Wow what a difference painting the frame and the door. Beautiful. Thank you for sharing I wanted to tell you too that people are putting a tin rug some use a woven rattan rug others have colorful designs on them and they slip it under the wrought iron making the wrought iron look Fuller and more to scale with the the frame of the door being painted.
Hi Renee!! Your front door looks amazing and you did a wonderful job!! I have to thank you for suggesting the ChomChom Roller......that thing is wonderful. My Katie Rose is a Cavalier King Charles and she sheds soooo much. You and ChomChom have saved my sanity. Your new Teddy Blake is lovely!!! Sending Pollux and Moo snuggles from Katie Rose and me!!! Hugs, Jodi
Your door looks great! 👍 this reminds me of my diy projects!! Stuff always comes up. Omg!! Thanks for posting this vid. Makes me feel like im not alone. Diy. Omg!! 😲
Great job, Renee on the door & decorations. Got my 2 shirts the other day. I love them!!! I was FaceTiming with my daughter in Maine last night & had my baseball tee on. She wanted to know all about what it said & was so impressed with it. I sent her some of your info. Congrats on the new handbag too. You’re a very talented lady.
FYI for future projects, your red trim bucket was made to use with plastic liners. They should be right next to the buckets at Lowes. Paint contractor here. Your door looks amazing!
Will check her out. Dress your decor. I'm a diyer and wallpaperer, all that... I haven't checked in with you recently I suddenly just thought I need some curls in my life again. Great job, looks really good... Your hairs lookin fab.
First if all you look beautiful as always!!! Your personality is so uplifting!!! I want to paint my front door black also. I need to show this to my husband!!! Just stunning. I am watching with batted breathe.
The door turned out gorgeous. Love the handbag too with the pink accent. Maxxie scratching on the side of the door is so funny and cute. Pollux always "helps" you. He's so happy in your home.
