This great song sounded so much better when Ms. Merchant was accompanied by her former band mates, Jerome Augustyniak, the late Robert Buck, Dennis Drew and Steve Gustafson. Those were the days, indeed.
Her voice is still great but I'm 15 years older than her but she looks 15 years older than me with all that fat. Swinging about like that looks ok when you've look after yourself but once you've let yourself go to seed, just don't do it.
@@Bluesbabesrv It’s simple if you compare her to what she looked like twenty years ago her waist size has now expanded, which makes her look older especially when she starts swinging it around. Fat doesn’t equate to age it just means you’re eating too much. If you’re getting up on a stage the voice is the most important aspect but how an artist looks is also important. She's not grossly overweight but she’s beginning to let it slip; first you become comfortable about being a bit overweight then you don’t care, what will she be like when she’s my age? It’s somehow disappointing when you go to a concert and the performer looks like they have went to seed. I like a lot of different types of music, for example two female singers I used to like were Sonja Kristina and Grace Slick but what a state they are both in now. I made the mistake a couple of years ago of going to see Curved Air (Sonja Kristina), I wish I hadn’t; ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bhKYSU43fGg.html. Her voice was ok but god what a mess. If you are going to perform then stay in shape and don’t ruin the memory.
@@westcoastwally1992 Why I don't get up and shimmy about a stage like a 20 year old; basically if you are going to do anything visual make sure you're still up to it visually.
