The only info to add is that i have robbed the power and the ground from the existing harness (turn signal socket). The daytime running light goes from the factory wiring too, but only the positive cable, the ground comes from the same turn signal ground (it was a lot easier to do right)
As for the remote control thingy i made a completely new harness, consisting of a positive and negative from the battery to the remote box, and then 2x negative and positive wires for the two units. no fuse needed there, as if something goes wrong the remote box has a fuse built in, and i also done a bunch of isolating at connections, because a live 12v wire, straight from the battery is no joke!
