I don't know they think people just have a bunch of extra money to pay for bags that meet their requirements. People are picking your cheaper airlines to save money for a reason! The extra $40-$75 whatever they charge could be the price of another airlines ticket without the stress.
I was flying with my family on April 4th from Denver to Philly. FLIGHT 520. The flight was over an hour late. All our bags fit but the gate attendant decided to fail 2 of our bags even though nothing was sticking out of the measuring box. We didn't 3 times and took pictures. She still refused to board us and threatened to close the gate. I refused to bend to that abuse and they let us in. They made another man, a grown dude with gray hair cry. His bag for but they made him pay anyway. I've never been so mad in my life. This is abuse, people. Make videos and post them. This should not happen.
The Gate Agents received $10 per bag that they flagged as oversized, which is a BAD incentive because some of the agents will "claim" your bag is too big, when it really is legit. So many customers have been wronged for this. If you don't pay, they will deny you boarding. Of course, they ONLY have a few flights per week to certain destinations, so you will get stranded at your location if they can not rebook you and you will not get a refund!!! Plus, you will have to pay for another airline and get charge whatever the rate is at the time you book.
@@mariemllrythis is complete bullshit no gate agent gets 10$ for OVERSIZE bag. All this money goes to the company only. I work as a gate agent and wish to get paid 10$ for Oversize. If I could I’d send all types of sizes of bags. But we have to do our job or else we will get charged for it. If you bring a big bag you know the consequences. You guys love to victimize yourself but don’t realize the shit we have to put up with as well.
They actually called a police on me and threw my luggages out of the plane . I am still dealing with trauma cos it was late and no airline was flying and am still sick
Did you take video or photos? If so I'd report it to the US Department Of Transportation and contact Frontier as well and see if that helps you. You might get reimbursed.
@@CandaceCorey yes Candace , I can give you every proof you need and even witnesses . And up until today Frontier has not responded to my refund request or even contacted me after abusing me and causing me to be hospitalized
I’ve heard too many complaints about them, don’t even look at their prices. It’s like Budget car rental at Orlando Airport, I’ve seen the two 2 hour lines as I walked right up to and passed all those people to the Enterprise counter one lady bolted from that line and joined me saying I’ve already waited 2 hours in that. Not worth that stress. I’ve also seen the reviews of people being charged for damages later from that car rental. Enterprise has always come through for me while only costing a little more.
I refuse to fly Frontier or Spirit. A New York MTA bus is more comfortable. And at the end of the day, you end up paying just as much as the other airlines.
United basic economy also is a much worse experience than frontier in my experience. They don't let you check in online and you have to go to the in person check in so they can confirm you don't have a carry on. Absolutely malicious
That alone is a reason not to fly with them. I saw another video where they refuse ppl over those same items bc someone they report to said to make sure they charge ppl extra
I think they get a bonus for charging you the $40-$140. I heard a gate attendant tell a guy that was on my flight she didn’t care if he flew with that bag he had to pay now basically because it’s her city he in now 😮😮
I had my flight delayed 7 hours. When I arrived, no one was at the front desk, I was running everywhere to try to find information. I missed the flight by 3 minutes because it's impossible to check in. No boarding pass. You have to use whatsapp to communicate with them now. No reimbursement. No change to later flight. When someone finally came out from the plane, she kept on arguing with me and thought that 1 hour before the flight was late. This is in sacramento fronteir. I just tell myself that the man in the sky doesn't want me to fly that day. 😂
It really depends on who’s checking the bags, some people just be dickheads about the bag and are trying to get money, but some people are a lot more chill, like this lady
I’ve flown with frontier and my midsized backpack passes the size test in flying colors. The pleasant experience from staff made those super firm seats a bit more bearable. I actually like frontier airlines.
That’s so ridiculous how they make you do that. It’s like they are the most money hungry airline. Frontier and spirit. So if it does not fit in the tiny little thing. Then they make you pay $60 I believe, which is stupid because the airplane is still going to the location regardless

You end up paying more in the end for this " budget " airline than if you went with delta, united or American airlines. This is a piece of sh/t airline.
