Ellen surprised frontline nurse Shirley and her three daughters when she invited them to be the guests on the show. The single mom told her story about the early days of the pandemic, and deciding to leave her kids at home in Texas in order to help fight COVID in New York City.
She shared in detail how heart wrenching it was to see so many people pass away without loved ones at their side. To thank Shirley for her continuing work during the pandemic, Ellen and her friends at Hyundai not only gave Shirley and her family $15,000, they gave her a brand-new Hyundai Palisade!
