Good to see another felow canadian doing reviews on a frontrunner product! Thanks a lot! I have a 21 JLU Rubi and planning on adding the roof rack! Cheers from the Ottawa region!

I love our Frontrunner tank. I've tested it in saltwater conditions and it's been solid. We don't drink the water from it though. It's primary used to shower, clean, etc.

Good video. I am considering this water system. (Just a side note - you don't have to take off the end piece of a Slimline II rack to retrieve a nut. There is an opening under the end piece that allows you to slip nuts in.)

Thx for the video. Try running and storing water in it for a few cycles while it’s off to see if any remaining leaching impacting taste can be taken care of before next season.

Thanks for the tip. I wonder if anything like baking soda and water would help? I’ll do a little research and see if the internet has ideas!

I don't know if you found a better solution by now for your spigot, but i've cut my hose in half and used a coupling for a gardenhose on it. That way the hose can just remain under the roofrack when the watertank is not one there.

Seems like an easier way to carry water on your roof then Rotopax. I use Rotopax which is quick way and almost no wind resistance but I constantly have to lift them up and down so it becomes a bit of a work out. Thanks for sharing a different way of storing water.

That is the biggest benefit for sure. Up and out of the way. The weight up too is not replay an issue as the rack is loaded with lots of extras including a tent anyways

Hi. Question please. I’m getting one today on marketplace. Along with the front runner 11gallon gas can. Can this be used on other racks with the slots? Or just the front runner rack?

Ten years later the plastic tank in our conversion van still tastes of plastic and its burried under the truck not sitting in the sun. BPA free as well. So there's that. Poly plastics will always give you that taste. Have a 1950`s galvanized double walled water cooler and it doesn't make the water taste funny like our plastic camping coolers by Thermos do. Go figure. I think it's just one small pay off for going camping and enjoying the great out doors... I can't get a good cup of tea on the trails. ☕. Good video btw.

Thats a lot of weight on your roof. 42kg water, 50kg Gasoline, 25kg roof rack, 40kg tent… Usually heavy, bulky things need to go low. Especially tanks that can be half full (like water tanks) should never be that high up. The water moving in the tank kills handling, Offroad performance and safety during critical maneuvers.
