@@chris40v17 Eh, haven't seen much of prodigy's recently I think he changed his name recently, but regardless Wizzy claimed he hates the mario ditto and wants to use a different character for him so I guess he's no longer a solo main technically and you can argue Prodigy is the best solo mario.
Idk i wasn't shocked prodigy was able to do it .Mario is a dangerous pick to joker and he is literally the mario king .he didn't come out of no where at all .

the fact is that mkleo 's not that a good player , he used the top tier char to keep win but now that everyone noticed how to beat this character he just cannot do much more but get shrekted , could swich back to ike but it wouldn't help since he can't read a lot , he's too used to just let the game make him win .
@@Kittletothemoon you know he won against like 10 of the top-20 players in loser's run and won the whole tournament, right? MKLeo is insanely good, I'm guessing he had a bad set here and got mopped up by Prodigy, but he definitely deserves to be #1
Cool for Leo that he got his revenge on that Kurama guy but despite being the greatest ultimate player of all time he will be forever on a negative record against the Mario God Prodigy.
I think the best part is despite beating him, Kurama still held the achievement of the only guy to even take a single game from Leo, prompting the smash legend to jokingly tweet: "Fuck, I lost a game"
@@arturintete2461 Yes it's true but I don't think it is that easy to do on a pro player like Leo who knows exactly what to do to get out. Plus, he showed a combo that I had never seen ! D-Throw, Uair, Nair, Fair spike That was pretty hype !
DerpyHamster kind of hard to argue about consistency when we simply haven’t seen Prodigy compete as much as Wizzy. I’m not gonna say Wizzy is worse or better than Prodigy just gotta wait till there’s more numbers to look at and tell.
rug rat Didn’t MKleo make Marss quit one time? Prodigy’s punishes with Mario are near impeccable and he holds on to advantage really well, he also did a fantastic job not losing too many stocks to ledge traps/edge guards from Leo either. And even if Leo supposedly struggles against aggressive playstyles being a non-PGR player and 3-0ing the #1 in the world is still incredible
Mario is def high mid tier, this is just what you can do when the tiers are so close. Thats why people are saying tier lists dont matter. Once you learn how to play a character to a perfection, maybe you can beat MkLeo.
I would say wizzy is definitely better all round than prodigy. But prodigy is very close if not second best. Wizzy just has a problem with going up against other mario players and if he fixes that he'd do alot better
@@wonder1034 not to mention the fact that sometimes makes SD's doing weird stuff, I say this 2 things about Prodigy and Wizzy Wizzy: the best Mario and with the safest playstyle. Prodigy: the second best Mario, the only one who was capable to beat Leo and he got a really offensive playstyle, that gaves him huge rewards

Mkleo hit a wall by winning frostbite 2020. We all know that next time leo will be ready for prodigy and the set will be much closer or leo will reverse 3-0. Don't get me wrong prodigy played like an absolute madman. Incredible play.

Bromar O Prodigy technically has the best result out of any mario. Dark wizzy has consistently better results though. I would say dark wizzy is still slightly better, but prodigy is definitely capable of taking that title if he keeps this up
It is 4/20/2022, and this set is still my ALL-TIME FAVORITE UPSET SET IN ALL OF SMASH BROS ULTIMATE. I get goosebumps everytime! There are plenty of other good sets, but this was an upset of a lifetime.
I feel you, this match was one of the hardest for MKLeo at the time. The tracking Prodigy's Mario did was out of this world, playing faster than what MKLeo could process
Paradoodle that was half of the top tiers in 4 though. That was ZSS’s entire game plan. Pretty sure dethrone->up-airs->up-b should remind everyone of ZSS lol
@@adjmonkey If by "half the top tiers," you mean Bayo, ZSS, and Mario, then sure. But even then, Bayo was the only one who could do it without tri-plats, unless you count pre-patch Meta Knight.
Prodigy's a part of sacs smash scene so I asked him at a local how he was feeling after he beat Leo on stream. He said he felt no different... what a terrifying player

I was reading the other players name “prodigy” and i was like it must suck to call yourself something like that then get smashed by Leo... man I was so surprised, so happy for the dude.
My favorite smash ultimate match of all time. With the game having almost no shot at recovering properly, it might stay that way forever. Prodigy's mario is so aggressive and seeing the best player get upset is huge. The storyline for this tourney is great also with the insane losers bracket run
