I was thinking the exact same thing when i was watching this set live but then he'd get hit like twice and die like 30% earlier. Kinda sad cuz sheik is so fun to watch
@@Dimadome12 she doesn't necessarily "struggle to kill" , her kill confirms are just hard to execute. She actually has a lot of kill confirms and di mixups. There's just a very high skill threshold.
@@Dimadome12 no no. *she* doesn't struggle to kill, the player struggles to kill, but they only struggle if they're not good enough with the character. void has no problem killing. yeah, his opponent might be at 180+ but he's constantly winning neutral exchanges and putting his opponent in edgeguard scenarios.
Tbh this Sheik, now in the state she is, she seems like the most badass and fun version to play. Congrats to my man, Void, he deserves all of this for all the hard work, you need to really love your character to put it at this insane level. Also, Sheik buffs, Grenade is awesome now, needles are godlike, and optimizing those drag-down up-airs is the way to go. p.d: You can make perfectly fine a combo video of this match, Sheik combos galore
I think the consensus is she needs a weight buff and maybe a buff to bair or ftilt. That would make her much more consistent and balanced. Maybe actually see some sheik players come back, cuz I think she is top 3 at least in characters viewers actually want to see in a match.
@@forklesspizza6228 Yeah, you are totally right, her damage is fine, she just blows up people with her attacks thanks to her frame data and tools, also the speed. As we can see in this tournament Void played almost perfectly but because Sheik's weight any error he committed was fatal, 110% and Sheik is dead because how light she is. 110% is a kill percent but some characters can survive past this much better than Sheik.
@Baked keep in mind sheik is a hard counter to rob... also sheik weighs less than kirby. she definitely needs weight, randomly dying at 30-50 at ledge is not okay for how big of a character/hurtbox she is
Everyone talking about how clutch Void is and I'm here just thinking about how smoothly Zackray threw his controller on the table into a handshake 15:30
Void is proving not only that Sheik is better than people thought(Including me), but also proving how capable he is as a player. Passion and patience really does go hand in hand in whatever you want to get good at.
@@shilohschwartz8671 lmao you probably can't even combo bowser as sheik. Getting combos right takes more practice than you think. Oh wait, you can't think. You lack a brain
@@shilohschwartz8671 Is that the only combo you can do? To actually be good at the character you have to learn countless strings, combos, and kill confirms. But honestly it's pointless arguing with you since you probably wouldn't even know.
@@L7U yeah, but it is still a bit strange sometimes that an up-smash hits so far behind, above, in front, and down by their feet. isn't the only case of attacks with weird amounts of range for the direction the move is, but it is weird how some of these moves still exist when nintendo removed a bunch of the weirdly-directioned hitboxes from smash 4.
G&W’s up smash covers to the floor. The big downside to sheik is that a lot of her attacks aren’t very disjointed, so she ends up trading a lot with certain attacks, which is what happened here
@@icecoldnut5152 why? its not broken like gnw, i dont think. quite the opposite actually, it covers only the upper part of CF. i think what Bini was saying is that there are many smash attack that cover notonly the direction you press, but almost all sides of the character
as an athlete, i appreciate emotion in smash. this "little salt" was just proof that he cares. he stayed composed and simply showed how much he wanted to win. i love it
Dang. Sounds like you have to be genuinely glad you lost to not be salty these days. For real though salty is when you're focussing on the negative, edging on bitter and fixating on something. Has a childish connotation, often blowing that something out of proportion a little, but less explosively than raging. It's most similar to being tilted, but being tilted has connotations of spite and revenge more than with being bitter and petty, and often it's something legitimately "tilting" (annoying) that makes someone tilted compared to being salty. I know that getting the whole internet on the same page about slang is a pipe dream, but what else am I going to do, sleep?
Sheik ia the coolest mid tier because when you play well, she looks like the most oppressive character in the game and you destroy your opponent, but if you mess up at all you get destroyed just as hard. Props to void for making her work
I wish we'd see Void's Pichu more often. He'd be a great counter pick to ROB. Especially in Void's hands. Edit: Never mind. Watched the rest of the set. Turns out Shiek is a suitable counter pick.
commentators: “I believe you can reflect needles but it’s gonna take some *precision*” g&w reflector: permanent press and hold bucket press and hold easiest reflect in the game = *precision*
I respect void so much soley cause sheik is a character that takes a high level of skill and you have to work insanely hard to get the kill while avoiding ur death from as early as 50%. He literally plays sheik jus cause she’s cool. It’s not about the car u drive but the driver in the seat
Sadness I just came watch this video again because Little Z talked about void vs Zackray but now I’m watching it hear his voice *sigh* (no I don’t want him back because what he did was much worse)
Ngl, Void kinda Manhandled Zackray there. I wonder if Zackray couldve beaten him in that match up if he had to fight him again in losers or winners finals.
As a Sheik main, U don’t fucking know how happy I am 😭😭 though I’m not a solo sheik and I also have Fox in my pocket I mainly use Sheik and hell yes finally 😭😭
Sounded like he thinks all G&W's play the same (which they 100% do) but then tried to take it back cuz it's like saying g&w carries people (which he does)
I wonder if Zackray just couldn't match Void's speed. In terms of skill and power they seem equally matched but after following Zackray's pools, it's clear he still has that "japanese playstyle(tm)" that Void is rushing down
