@@WingMaster562 I think those games basically save the ideal path from one place to another once it's calculated. Frostpunk literally calculates the same exact thing every single frame, and with, say, 300 people at 60FPS that'll be largely the exact same calculation 1800 times a second. To compensate, it then slows its FPS so it has to calculate less. It's just shit optimisation.

We can reiterate it differently: Less people = higher fps. And it's not our fault. It's game designers which are evil people by forcing us to embrace dictatorship :3

However, despite it hurting, continue with your daily routine and cherish small moments of happiness you'll feel among the periods of sorrow. Try to do things that make you happy, even if they remind you of your SO, but once again, wail if you want. Eventually, things will begin feeling like normal again. It won't ever be the same without her, but very slowly you'll grow to cope with the fact that she's not here anymore. It might take a few weeks, or it might take a year, but it will happen.
