Lol and since she's the bridge between the humans and the spirits it's no surprise that she awakened the spirits just by unleashing her powers that way...? Idk just my two cents
I dunno how to tel you Hunchback WAS to dark and intense for most kids, which is reflected in the majority of critical reception to the movie at the time, and only with millennial/gen z nostalgia have we come around to viewing it favorably. But I agree w you that this scene is fine, but that’s because this scene isn’t any darker than the entirety of Frozen 1.
Thank you... Mulan and Pocahontas featured scenes that were longer, darker, and more intense than this, for that matter. (And, in addition to being phenomenal films, are perfectly fine for most kids over three.)
Yeah,but as much as it was intense and boldarised by Disney, let’s not forget that the original book was wrote by Victor Hugo who also wrote Les Misérables and clearly didn’t wrote for kids....so,it explain the intensity (compared to Frozen who was more of a « fairy tale » minus the princesses stuff and which stopped at Frozen (considering how all of their second movies weren’t related *at all* anymore to the originals stories)
It is, the didn’t use the whole scene, and the why the became the crystals are different, this one Elsa freezes rain, the movie one, they just are that why
@@hallejessicabuum What I'm gathering is that in this scene it was raining while Elsa was dreaming. At the end of her dream she freezes the rain in the air and it doesn't have any specific crystal design. In the version we got there is no rain and instead she makes crystals with the element designs on them.
People should stop saying "it's because it's too dark for kids", do you see any violence or blood in this ? A little Darkness and mystery doesn't hurt anyone, even kids :0
This should have been kept and then have the two sisters singing the unknown. I feel like that would put more emphasis on they are both part of this journey/destiny thing. I don't really think the scene is to intense at all for kids and it would make more sense to have some of that mysterious exposure here to further drive the characters.
That idea is brilliant oh my word. They could’ve had them sing Into the Unknown on the ride to the forest and everyone can have a part of it. Plus the harmonies with the four main characters would be AMAZING!!
Oh wow yeah that would have been great. Dang, originally I really liked the movie but after seeing these deleted scenes it could have been so much better. Now it just feels kind of rushed and forced. A duet of Into the Unknown would be AMAZING!
It was more like elsa felt trapped trying to hide and control her powers...The gloves remind her of it...but now she has better control so there isnt that much danger
Some people here mentioned that they might’ve cut the scenes because it would’ve been too intense for kids? Hans was literally going to chop down Elsa in the previous movie and this sequel showed the same thing with different characters. Kids have survived through Tim Burton, Mulan, Tarzan, and honestly that horrifying forest scene in Snow White, so pretty sure they would’ve survived whatever dark plot Disney had written for a princess movie.
This scene was fricking cool tbh. But I get why they didn’t include it, it was way more intense. But hey, at least we got Into The Unknown. It’s a bop when there aren’t little kids singing it lol.
I feel like this cut scene also added a background on why Anna was so afraid if else going off alone be uses she knew what she should have done. Also I feel like they could have transitions this scene into the into the unknown by having else hear the call during the charades, return to her room, where else and Anna sleep individually in separate rooms. The same Anna is awoken by the snow and runs to else's rooms whilst she is yelling asking else if she is OK which reiterates the point that she is scared for else's safely and doesn't believe she can complete the journey by herself. And then Anna breaks into else's room, sees the vision which almost acts as a cautionary tale of what could happen when they journey to the mist, and makes the second act more dangerous. And as we see in the scene Anna tries to wake else up during the prophesy, which occurs during a dramatic cliff hanger in the dream that sorta sets up a dangerous adventure, and then else wakes up, without awakening the sky spirits. And reassures Anna who is worried, and then puts Anna to sleep. Then else is kept awake by into the unknown, and goes on a littl song song
1:27 unpopular opinion: I think outside was rainy and Elsa just froze all the water drops outside accidently. 1:14, 1:20-1:21 If you watch the balcony door carefully, outside was clearly rainy. 1:22 water drops are frozen. They look sharp and can easily fall and hurt someone which is very dangerous so that's why Anna was shocked. They're not elements, they are just frozen water drops hanging on the sky.
All the deleted scenes were apart of a story that was perfect and beautiful. But the final movie made it pretty and smiley with almost a problem that I forgot about and there's no feeling!
After watching all these deleted scenes i realized they've been holding back wayy too hard with their ideas just because they prioritize this movie to be a kids' movie
Honestly, the cut scenes should've stayed!!! I know people say that it's to dark for the children, but there's literally nothing that's that bad! Its not like it's gonna come into their dreams. It would've been so much more interesting if these scenes were in the movie. ☹😣
Just a Random person it’s not intense, if kids can handle lion king without crying they can handle this. people underestimate kids and it’s not right. kids do much things better than elder and u gotta admit my little sis draws.p better than me
I don't think this is better than into the unknown. Here Elsa just accidentally uses her power again with Anna having all the spotlight, just like in the first movie. But Into the unknown shows how Elsa actually wants to find the spirits and the "unknown" instead of it all being an accidental change again.
This is an interesting idea about how Elsa dreams, and it could pull from the stage musical about it being dangerous for her to dream, but it brings up more questions about how Elsa got those memories before going to the forest? The spirits, or whatever magical force, showed these scenes to either attract her to or help on the journey itself. How would Elsa know dream about this before even meeting the spirits? It would be a fun idea, but I can see why they changed the scene for the finished product.
Well anna sing a lullaby to make elsa feel better and later own they fall asleep together (when anna check if elsa alright when the guessing game done)
I think it would have been nice to show this dream scene before the into the unknown scene. To emphasize how she started /struggled hearing the call. However, cut the Elsa awaking the spirits at the end part. Make it "almost" waking them and that they got more persistent after that. Because the movie somewhat lacked some plot and context in some parts. Felt so rushed.
Ummm... WHAT! No seriously this makes more sense then the scene we got! Into the unknown could have been in a different part of the movie instead of just handing us the plot and rushing scene to scene! I don't hate frozen 2 but I felt left wanting more than we were given and rushed from one scene to the next instead of sitting and letting us feel the emotion, some scenes felt really out of place too. Great music, brilliant animation, poor pacing and loss of storytelling in frozen 2.
I really like the dream concept for this scene, but where did she get the dream? We don't see or hear the spirits interacting with her. It looks really cool, but I personally don't think it's better than what we got in the end.
@@rosedragon1200 well considering Elsa knew about the spirits and dreams of the vision variety can come from stories we hear it isn't far of a stretch for this scene to have occurred. It's my opinion, I see your point, but from a critiquing perspective the dream scene does make more sense than Elsa just blurting out "I woke up the spirits in the enchanted forest" to Anna after into the unknown.
this concept is so cool!! i loved the idea of her powers working out of her control to try and tell her something when i saw Into the Unknown and this would’ve been so much better than that sequence!!
Maybe it's because I have been watching crime shows for as long as I remember, but this doesn't seem really intense for me. I am also a 17 year old, so I can also see why it wouldn't feel that way. (To clarify I was booted out of the room if a episode or scene was to intense. Just that I grew up watching some more intense things then others I guess.)
I know a lot of people are saying they should keep it in the movie but they replaced it and that's why I can sing out loud whenever I want (in my mind obviously, I'm not like Elsa who didn't need to hear a thing about why she shout loudly in the middle of night, my family members will definitely question if I do so) Into the unknooooooooooooown. One of my favorite song.
Okay as much as Into the Unknown is cool, this scene is so much better imo. The intensity, the music, granted it doesn’t showcase all the spirits, but it feels more story-driven than a reattempt at Let It Go
I think they cut this because it would show Elsa having knowledge of the North Auldren invasion without really knowing what happened which she discovered later in the movie
lol if this _was_ the version they put in the final movie, everyone would be complaining about the fact that Elsa's nightmares cause blizzards and pointing out that it would've alerted the people of Arendel and Anna to the fact that she has ice powers
That dream was showing signs of the future just like in into the unknown when Elsa was screaming "HU HAAAAA HU HOO" and weird snowy things came out. These snowy things showed the future.
I don't care what anyone says. This is a much better scene. Into the unknown would have worked better in a different part of the movie. Ana is much more involved and waking up the spirits feels more like an accident then it did in the movie
If this was kept in it would make much sense tbh, like why is elsa suddenly dreaming about the past? Is the dream controlled by the spirits? But they got awoken because of elsa's dream, maybe her mother? Who knows I like the version we got with into the unknown cause its basically her powers just going wild and showing the other spirits, and her mother.
It doesn't looks like deleted scene but I think instead of INTO THE UNKNOWN they planned this and later they change with song but without INTO THE UNKNOWN that emotion won't carry out.
