I never collected the orginal Frozen dolls because I thought the face molds looked too odd and exaggerated with bug eyes. Then they updated the faces for Frozen 2 and looked beautiful and love them. So glad they're still using these molds.
I have this new Frozen 10th anniversary doll set and I love it, but I think the first Elsa limited edition doll has better face and hair. Also the top of the dress is better too with all rhinestones on it. And as Mario said, the new Elsa has better shoes, sleeves and cape.
So glad i waited all these years to buy a snow queen elsa!! This new one is so much better! The cape, shoes, braid, embroidery in the sleeves and face mold are perfect!
I wanted this set so badly because I wanted to own limited edition Frozen dolls but never had the money for them, so when I finally had the money I hopped onto the website right when they went on sale and was stuck in a virtual que and poof they were gone. So I settled with the $100 Mattel ones which are just as beautiful.
Thanks so much for comparing the new dolls to the original ones. I haven’t gotten the new set yet , but hope to buy it on the second market. And because I have both of the original dolls , I’m glad to see how different they are. You’re right they did make them more realistic in the second film! Thanks for an excellent review as usual.
I really wanted to buy the Harrods one when I saw it in the shop but having no money.... Now I regret not buying this new one and it was sold out anyway. That Else cape is EVERYTHING!!!! WOW!
They're beautiful dolls, Elsa in particular. I don't understand why they have different body sculpts though? Anna has the double articulated knees and ankle joints, while Elsa doesn't.
I live in Europe I managed to get this set 15 days ago, I dreamed of having Elsa in 17" for 8 years but I find that the eye makeup of my Anna doll is not successful for dolls limited to 3000 copies, the quality has really dropped a lot... For the materials also, the price of 300 euros or 349 dollars is not justified... Disney makes increasingly bad and expensive products but that is sells so I don't think they will make any effort to improve the quality in the future.
I cant beleive frozen is 10 years old😭 These dolls are absolutly beautiful! My holy grail disney doll has always been the limited edition coranation elsa doll, i remember begging my mom for it when i was 6 not knowing how expensive it was😂
I adore Elsa’s face sculpt, I’m not a fan of Anna’s sculpt. I’m honestly not surprised how fast this set sold out. And I’m actually glad I skipped on this, I don’t need another Elsa in my room. Also, if the base of the stand breaks off the peg, is it fixable?
Can you do a review to the new disney storybook dolls, they look very beautiful and i heard there were new body molds for them (i only seen ariel have it)
