Try #5: Too dangerous. Don't try.
Try #4 (Best): In a 1000 mL Erlenmeyer flask = 250 mL of 35% hydrogen peroxide, 80g of potassium iodide crystals dissolved in 62 mL of very hot water, a little bit of dishwashing soap, and lots of food coloring.
Try #3: 60 mL of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide, 120 mL warm water with dissolved Potassium Iodide crystals, dishwashing soap, food coloring.
Try #2 (with yeast as catalyst): 400 mL of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide, 150 mL warm water with 2 1/2 tablespoons of yeast, dishwashing soap, food coloring.
Try #1 (unimpressive): 30 mL of 35% Hydrogen Peroxide, 60 mL of warm water with dissolved potassium iodide crystals, dishwashing soap, food coloring.
How to calculate instructions:
If 1000 mL Erlenmeyer flask (divide by 4) = 250 mL of 35% hydrogen peroxide (divide by 4) = 62 mL of hot water with potassium iodide crystals dissolved in it (about 80g). Add lots of food coloring and a little bit of dishwashing soap.
