In November 2023 we had the chance to be on an expedition ship for around 3 weeks and explore Southern Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. We journeyed from the steeply rising mountains of South Georgia to the frozen continent of Antarctica, where nothing but ice and snow awaited us. Although this place seemed so hostile and unforgiving to life, we encountered all sorts of life: Whales, Seabirds, Seals and countless colonies of all Penguins! We left in awe, realizing how fragile this delicate eco system is.
