But or Rent - Frozen II - • Frozen II
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? What truths about the past await Elsa as she ventures into the unknown to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond Arendelle? The answers are calling her but also threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll face a dangerous but remarkable journey. In Frozen, Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In Frozen II, she must hope they are enough.

Not sure if anyone else explained what was going on when Elsa froze, but pretty much the lyrics of the song say “there’s a river full of memory. Dive down deep into her sound, but not too far, or you’ll be drowned.” Since Ahtohallan is a river of ice, how do you drown in ice? You freeze. Essentially, she went to far and “drowned.” I thought that was a pretty cool detail!

Hey JV. Norwegian fan here. This movie was basicly inspired by Norway's indigenous people, the Sámi and a conflict about a dam built in Alta, Norway in the 80's. The spirit singing the high notes to Elsa is an norwegian artist Aurora.

5:08 Funny you mention that, a Broadway musical exists and it's on its North American Tour right now. I just went to see it like a week ago and I was so blown away by how magical it was. The effects, the talent of the cast. Definitely one of my favorite musicals I've seen live, next to Phantom of the Opera and Wicked. I like sobbed in that theatre. Good music has a tendency to do that to me. I went to see it with my older sister for my birthday (I'm a redhead, she's a blonde so we've always connected to that movie lmfao). Idk what else to say, it's just really amazing. Highly recommend watching some video clips on RU-vid to get a feel for it.

Frozen 2 actually had a documentary made for it that revealed it was intended to be even more mature than it ended up being, but the test audience was mostly super young kids, so they had to simplify a lot of it. I'm still very pleased with how they upped the ante in this one.

28:50 Elsa freezing is a reference to the last sentence of this verse of the movie’s song, "All is found". " In her waters, deep and true Lie the answers and a path for you Dive down deep into her sound But not too far or you’ll be drowned " (too far, too close to the great truth...)

"Lost in the woods" is such a good song! Had in on my playlist for so long time. Before this movie came out, it was a cool theory, that Anna and Elsas parents, was also Tarzans parents. That when their ship went down, they floated to the island in the Tarzan movie, and had Tarzan. But I guess that didnt make sense, when we got this movie and story.

LOVE this one. All I have to do is see the VISUALS for “Show Yourself” and I get teary, haha. I still can’t make it through this film without losing it a few times. Great catch on Kristoff’s song! Definitely 80’s music video-inspired, with some direct pulls from Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” Love that you are so taken with Idina Menzel’s (Elsa’s) voice. She (and Jonathan Groff [Kristoff] too) IS a very well-known Broadway performer (she originated Elphaba in Wicked), so of course she’s amazing. 😍 The singer in the end credits is Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco. Definitely check out his stuff - his vocal range/control is OTHERWORLDLY. Great film, great reaction!!!

A fun fact was that Elsa was originally supposed to get a girlfriend, people pointed it it would have been the girl (Honeymaren) Elsa hung out with the most when they met the other villagers. Sadly it was changed due to parents having problems with showing that type of relationship. Also because they wanted Elsa to be I believe the first Disney princess to continue her story without a love interest. They wanted to focus more on her powers and her sister relationship than a romantic one. A lot of fans do make art and fanfics on how the story should have gone and what they imagine happened after the movie ended.

actually - in my opinion - the whole "transformation" and "finding yourself" subplot rings in the right direction very well, without showing her getting a relationship. I feel this way every sexuality/gender insecurity feels adressed.

Technically, the bad guy in the movie is Anna and Elsa's grandfather Runeard as he was the one that started the whole mess, and while he was killed in the war, his "evil" plan of having a way between the Arendellean soilders and the Northuldra Tribe. It was thanks to his granddaughters Elsa and Anna with help of the Earth Spritis by breaking the damm that Runeard have arranged to build, that he was defeated even if it was over 30 years after his death. It's still a an original take on the whle conflict instead of the traditional struggle/battle between hereos and villains, sometimes fighting each other in duels like Aladdin vs Jafar, Simba vs Scar, Philip vs Malificent etc.
@mevb
@mevb Год назад
It's not a gecko, those don't exsist in Scandinavia as the climate is too cold for them to survive in the wild. That's a salamander and they were thought to be associated with fire since they come out of burning piles of leafs (when in reality they take shelter inside them and when they're set on fire, the salamanders flee). By the way, the fire elemental is named Bruni.

Even though Elsa says that them being regularly put in danger is over there is still some points that they could use for Frozen 3. Like the wedding of Anna and Kristoff becoming King, but maybe it gets interrupted/ruined by Hans or a new villain. They could also have a story about continuing the royal line by opening up with Anna having kids. Either way Frozen 3 was confirmed as of Nov 2023 to be in the works.

This foreshadows their fate in A New Hope and The Return of the Jedi, all three dies on a Death Star: Obi-Wan dies on the first when he gives up his life to The Force right before Darth Vader cuts through his robe. Palpatine/Darth Sideous gets killed by Anakin when he tosses him into the reactor shaft and Anakin himself dies because The Emperor's Force Lightning damages his life support system in his suit to beyond repair.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the heart of this film; while I do understand a lot of the complaints against Frozen2, especially anything to do with Kristoff, I absolutely love this movie. Seeing Elsa having the confidence to finally be herself, letting her hair down and strutting out as Ice Queen with full control of her powers....and Anna, not being completely over what had formed her lonely childhood, clings to Elsa desperately because she's so damn scared to lose her again that she's almost manic and her attempts to fight off a tornado and a forest fire just show that. My one issue is what they reduce Kristoff to, but he does end the movie with some strong ass chad male lines like, "my love is not fragile." I think it's pretty bold move on Disney's part, releasing Frozen 2 on Thanksgiving and giving the message from the two BIGGEST "Princesses" that colonization and racism isn't a thing they're willing to tolerate, even from their FAMILY. The instant he showed any form of bigotry/malice towards the Northuldra, who are a stand-in for the Sami people that Elsa and Anna (and Kristoff hence why he gets brushed off in the first movie) belong to, Elsa loses any kind of fond feelings for him and treats him as the villain he IS. And Anna, despite cut content showing her being much more proud of her lineage, ALSO turns on him as soon as she knows the truth. They made their biggest faces of the brand into an indigenous race that was treated horribly and most of the cut scenes are referencing to how their mother, Queen Idunna, had to give up her religion, language, culture, anything tied to her people, and hide it away into a secret room. And just as Anna and Elsa had no idea they weren't fully Arendellian, most Sami children were taken from their families and adopted into "proper" families, never knowing their heritage. It's also why Kristoff isn't too fond of people. He's treated HORRIBLY, look at the first movie in the beginning! He was alone then already, BECAUSE his family was likely shipped away as slaves/servants or killed. And none of the men around him, his "coworkers", bother giving him a glance; he's Sami after all. All that aside, this movie hit home for me as I had just reconnected with my dad and was finally able to have him in my life again. Having a parent telling Elsa how SHE is the power she needed, that they love her and are proud of her and her journey...well, I cry a lot when listening to Show Yourself. Especially as I had just gotten my CPTSD diagnosis just before seeing the movie in theaters.

Is that. All the Disney movies are connected and they have a Pixar theory. React to it. Sounds legit everything dies line up with the timelines and stuff mad cool. Hope it’s intentional

There's a Post Credit scene with Olaf that's funny. You should check it out.

If noone have explained the background to the song Next right thing then you should really look it up cause its very heartbroken! The overall background have with another celebrity's loss of their son! 🥺 All these songs are just art and mastermade. They really know how to make music emotional and synced to the movie!

Olafs song made me cry when i first saw this for some reason 😂 I've grown to actually like Christophs little "lost in the woods" solo lol cause as cheesy as it is, that is how men feel (i think) when they can't connect with their girlfriends/fiances/wives. it's simple, painful, to the point. It helped me realize maybe how I affect my fiance when I'm stuck in my worries and he wants connection.

Seriously? It's already tell from the song 'but not too far or you'll be drowned'. She goes too deep into ahtohallan. As for the result, she freeze there. Next time, LISTEN THE LYRICS CAREFULLY! FOCUS!
