i have been using pressure washers for 15 years. the most powerful i ever used was 6000 psi. we used it to clean jet fuel spills aroung fuel tank at the airport. it could break concrete and it kicked like a shotgun

Can they heat the water when they clean? I'm sure this was cold water, the steam would be hard to film thru.

The car video is going to have also the sand mixed to water so there is some steel cutting action also. I am planning also to film concrete demolition with this machine and hopefully with chronos if I just manage to keep it safe and dry :D

And I forgot the mention on the video but the pump would go up to 4000 bars but they haven't find strong enough hoses for that pressure :D

I worked at a shop that used these for cleaning. About once a year at a safety meeting they would cut some 2x4s to show how dangerous it could be. The water jet would zip right through that 2x4.

It's also the Bernoulli effect. Stream sucks.

@@sleeptyper Your original comment dtated that the water (the medium in which the ice bricks would normally float) possessed bouyancy. This is silly/ backwards...definition of buoyancy "the ability or tendency to float in water or air or some other fluid". Density is a more appropriate term in this scenario as it refers to mass. There was not enough mass within the given area so the *ice blocks* were no longer buoyant and sank. To be buoyant the ice blocks would have to weigh less/ have less mass than the water they displace, which they didnt because that bubbly water was mostly air. I dont think simply replacing the word "bouyancy" with "density" makes your statement sensical without modifying your sentence to an extent. Either way, density makes much more sense.

Actually the pump is capable of 4000 bars but those can only take 3000 :D

my math gets about 5.82 km of water column 1 foot =.433psi 44100 psi x .433 = 19095.3' total height convert to km 3280.84' per km 19095.3/3280.84 is 5.8202km

but that isn't taking into account for velocity of the water or gravity I'm not that smart just a steamfitter/pipefitter

@@theguru05 just go metric. Is easier. 10mtrs water is 1 atm (/bar) aka 3000bar=30000mtrs. You are right though: this is just calculating 'it is capable of reaching that height' no flow though :-)

@@theguru05 You should have divided by 0.433, not multiplied. Do it that way and you should get ~31km.

We actually tried to save one stuck drill from 1.5km deep hole in the ground with dynamite on January but we couldn't get the explosives down there so I couldn't make video about that. But that would been more interesting than saving puppy :D

You would NOT want a loose grip on that nozzle. If one hand comes loose, it will instantly whip around and break your other wrist or arm. We have had this happen where I work.

When hydraulic systems get a pinhole leak, they can cut/inject through your skin instantly. If you don't go to the hospital and have them cut you open and dig all the oily shredded meat out you end up having a amputation. Hyd oil poisons the area, and sometimes it can enter through a tiny cut that looks like nothing. Might not even bleed. What you cant see is oil is now inside you like a syringe was just emptied into your hand. Gotta get help immediately, guys think it's nothing, wait and make it much much worse. Google high pressure injection injury. Warning; its gross. At least with this it's just water and it will heal by itself, unless someone cuts you in half lol.

And at the end, but for a tiny little 3,000psi washer.😁
