Mine is making a clicking noise could that be because it’s dirty or because I need to replace the whole throttle? My car is brand new it barely has miles on it
Good grief, i want one of these cars but I see more engine problems in my RU-vid feed every day. Making me very nervous, I was hoping for a solid daily driver.
They are solid daily's I've had mine for 4 months and no problems. 60k miles automatic transmission. About to do my spark plugs/fluid changes for the 60k the spark plug change is very expensive, just the plugs are around $200 for all 4, but they only need to be changed every 60k miles. I have the same idling thing but it never dies. I'ma just clean the throttle body and see if that fixes it. if no, I don't care I don't have air starvation.
Had mine for 8 years. 2013 with 40k miles on it. No issues, just basic maintenance. I bought the car brand new in 2014 with 89 miles on it. I would say its been pretty reliable for me at least but I also don't drive it in crazy hot weather. The car does however see -15F to 20F temps all winter long and its been fine for me.
@Jesse Seymour I have a 14 with 125k miles and it runs like a champ. My idle is kind of low(that’s why I’m here) but not to the point of stalling and everything I’ve seen on forums says that’s pretty normal.
Frs has a ecu problem. I had bought a oft v2 and tuned and it was running fine before I blew and I rebuilt it again and without the tune and it still idles bad. So will probably get ecutek or off again to tune it.
@@jorgethetrucker really? My brothers Frs is tuned on oft and I just noticed this weird rpm drop too. Been using his car while he’s overseas on deployment don’t want to blow his motor any advice?
Not related but is anyone else having or had a engine whine after you turn the car on? Sounds even louder as you accelerate. Changed the alternator and belt and still experiencing the issue.
i got a p0016 error code on my 13 frs and replaced the sticking cam gear and the crankshaft sensors and camshaft sensors i was told i could possibly be an ecu update i havent done it but i did all the hardwork and nothing yet im selling it for a 2018 brz it was just a lost cause to try and solve for me
I had the same problem and did all the same things. Had a diagnostic check at the dealership too and they couldn't figure it out. Finally went back again because I did my own constant research and told them it's my ECU. They did a diagnostic check again and it was the ECU. I got so lucky because it was covered by the federal emissions warranty and got it replaced for free. PROBLEM SOLVED!
