Perhaps one of the strongest features of the Ethos based transmitters is the ability to record telemetry data. With this, we can understand a considerable amount of information about our flights and our aircraft.
In this video I am looking at the information gathered from a fairly uneventful flight of a Volantex Ranger 2000. This plane was equipped with a fair amount of FrSky products including receivers and an FrSky speed controller. With this information I was able to figure out when the plane took off. This was important because I could show the difference in signal strength flying a very short distance.
The RSSI displays in db the signal strength. The "VFR" stands for "Valid Frame Rates" and this is the true indication of success. The VFR measures the total amount of packets the receiver is picking up from the transmitter during the flight. The higher the number the better.
