Awesome, Mark! I'm seriously thinking about getting that module for my Taranis and a R9 receiver, to my TBS Discovery build... Don't know yet, let's see. 😊
For polarization, the RX antenna should be horizontal if the tx antenna is horizontal. Also running the feeder parallel to the antenna like that will really distort the RX pattern. I would expect the tbs antenna to work best. Of course the carbon fiber frame distorts the pattern too.
They are the exact same dipole antenna, just one is pure wire and one is in cased in plastic for durability. Treat your diversity setup like you would with the 2.5GHz (90deg from each other) and have the single antenna set up in the most likely way your ground would be set up (if ground is vertical have it vertical, if ground is horizontal have it horizontal).
O yea this will be very nice to have video about all possible ways of connecting RSSI. Also this is very nice video where clearly showing all differences between different product models. (Y) I like such detailed videos. (Y)
DRONE review man dude why you are always so excited about any video that is coming out? I see your comments under every video and they are always the same.
hi! great channel, you have a new sub :) . I am just getting into fpv drones, and my first one is on it's way, do I get it right that this receiver does not work with 4s batteries? I am building the uav 99$ build with 4s batteries, but they didn't include a receiver, so looked around and bought the r9slim+. If it is not compatible with my drone which one would you recommend, I also purchased the r9m lite module for my frsky x9 lite.
On the slim+ does it have to have 2 antenna at once or can one be removed? On GetFPV it does say one is detachable but I'm wondering if doing so would limit its capabilities?
Hey dude.. Thanks for that video. I have a question about the voltage. The manual says it works with "100mA on 5V". Does it works with more mA if I use it with 10 or 12V?
Hi Mark! Can you tell me how I can get RSSi with the R9slim + receiver on my CLracing F4s FC? There is no RSSI pad but i read somewhere that I can get the RSSi via the tele pad? My TX shows the RSSI value bytw, so that means it should be possible to get it on my OSD right?
Nice. Let me know what you think. I am having mixed results at best. I think frsky needs to update the fw a bit. F.Port kind of a screwy with the sensor lost issues. Still trying to get rssi to the osd too.
I got the R9 Slim+ and wanted to connect the TBS Crossfire Immortal T ant. The receiver though has actually comes with two antennas attached. Could I still use only one with the Immortal T and if so, which one should I remove?
You can. I did the same thing with my inav wing. My first iNAV build and test flight with an S800 Wing ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Jb5tPiMPk-0.html. Doesn’t matter which you swap.
But I do not need the adapter when using an omnibus board then? So in that case I could just run arduplane on my Omnibus V3 if I needed the lua script right? EDIT: NVM, just found the anwser.
rxsr, tested garbage, r9L, tested good, x8r good, xsr garbage, x4rsb good, r9slim good, r9slim Plus good, make shure you update the firmware in the r9 series. R9 slim plus 26.99, the r9 slim is discontinued. but is a great receiver.
yes I just did the update of the R9Slim plus, look good I use com1 wires to update the firmware, positive negativa and sport, all smudd and nice. bind right away.
