Great video! I'm in zone 8b Georgia and my peach, pear, and plum trees are already bloomed and are fruiting. Is there anything I can use to spray now for prevention?

Captan and i would use it at half the low rate while the flowers are blooming. Maybe 1/4 ounce per gallon of water

How do you feel about mixing copper fungicide, Neem oil and liquid Sevin on my peach, plum, Avacado and citrus trees every 2 weeks. I have had a problem in So. Cal with stink bugs destroying stone fruit and grass hoppers among other insects punishing my Avacado trees. Thanks for feedback.

i don’t think your supposed to spray copper after dormancy, …. and if your spraying liquid seven then i don’t think you need Neem Oil as for mixing all three i would advice against it

You are in the same hardiness zone as me (7a), just a different continent. Where im from, it is stated basically everywhere, that a peach leaf curl immune variety does not exist and that all (even resistant) varieties need to be sprayed with copper/sulphur fungicide. Ive seen research from other EU countries that showed that redhaven and its derivatives like cresthaven have high resistance and dont necessarily need spraying to still produce fruit. What is your experience with leaf curl on these trees?

Yes leaf curl on every peach tree you mentioned , some worse then others, some years worse then others, Copper controls peach leaf curl very well….. The years that my peach trees had bad peach leaf curl the fruit was significantly smaller and they had less sugar content. So to answer your question you do not need to spray for peach leaf curl to get fruit. you will get fruit with out spraying for peach leaf curl, But you still need to spray an insecticide becuase the plum curculio dosnt care which peach you have, and you still need to spray a fungicide for brown rot, insects and brown rot will ruin your crop but leaf curl will not

When spraying the trees is this something that last all season?
@UncleClaysOrchard
@UncleClaysOrchard 2 месяца назад
no you need to spray a lot in the spring time, like every 14 days if your non organic and every 7 -10 days if organic. Then as you get into the summer you can spray significantly less like every 30 days, there are lots of spray programs you can find online

Hello Clay, can you mix the neem oil and copper fungicide together and spray at same time? Thanks in advance

I know your not supposed to mix Hort Oil with Copper fungicide. But i had to do some research about Neem Oil and i can’t recomend it. Copper fungicide can be finicky. I have never done it, but if you want to try then mix a small amount in a plastic bottle and see if it coagulates or stays separated if neither happens then i would try it only on one tree for now….. Sorry i couldn’t give you a yes or no
