hey on the blunderbuss why would you take socket over anything else. isn't the artifact already strong with its perks? also why use a lvl 2 gem instead of a runeglass ruby? @jiggyspice6809
No the artifact bb is actually weaker than a regular BB. But it applies a lot of disease which is why it is percieved as super strong since it's hard to heal back up when going against it. but it does not have attunement which is a flat 14% dmg increase, and without the gem slot you are also losing 15-20% dmg. But all that being said, yes it is still a BB so it hits super hard without the gem slot, you can also go with exhaustive netshot on the BB which will also be insanely strong! That's a bit up to you. I opted to go for damage and I have the exhaustive net shot perk on armor. the reason we go with a t2 gem is because a t2 int gem will scale higher if you are running an int build than the t5 int gems. So you are actually gaining more damage than with an opal, and the t2 gem dmg buff is unconditional and doesn't have a CD like attunement.
Just got a new sub, playing your brute build and NEVER been happier with a build. Pumped for the full build video. BTW, what gems were you running in the brute build?
Ayy super happy to hear that my man! I've run into a few people ingame running it too and have whispered me saying they are having fun playing it too. I'm super stoked to get the gear together for myself and start playing the brute build as well. for the gems, ignited runeglass. Just for that extra BB dmg. The flail does so little damage so its only a utility weapon for the most part, BB is the bread and butter of your damage. The perks and runeglass will be the same for this build and the brute build.
hey Jiggy, when crafting your gear, might i suggest rolling fire harnessing shirking heals, as health and refreshing share the highest percent chance of dropping on the third perk, its a bit more of a gamble but its good odds
@jiggyspice6809 if you are going to perks on your gear why didnt you roll them to begin with? Do you think if i was doing a 2 perk role would a perk, fire damage, or health be the best option?
Probably fire damage to be hoenst. I went for health for survivability because I like to do 1vX a lot. I went for shirking heal because I 5x Sh is a must
I dont know how it works but someone told me that the way an int build scales with t2 gems make them stronger. If I'm not mistaken putting a t2 gem in there will give u a permanent unconditional 20% dmg boost. A opal is a 15% conditional dmg boost. I did test it myself on the training dummy and the t2 ruby deals around 600 dmg more per pellet than an opal.
Hey, thanks for the guide: I have a question what you think about it. There are now new perks such as Fire Harnessing which causes +2% Fire Damage as a perk on the armor. Wouldn't it be good to stack that on the Armor and then leave out Refreshing for example? The second question is what you think about the combo with Featherweight. With Featherweight you can add two Heavy parts to the light armor and get about 30% more Phys and Elem armor out of it which of course makes for much more survivability on light. And on the Earring you can maybe take Empowering Toast where you get 10% Empower on potion drink instead of regen for more damage.
Yeah this is a great question and I guess it depends on what you feel more comfortable with. I opted to go for more shirking heal so I can stay alive more easily. The blunderbuss already deals so insanely much damage that I felt the extra 10% damage from fire harnessing wasn't needed. But that is up to you. for the earring I think alchemist reprieve is better as it will make your mana potion heal for over 3k health. you are already near empower cap with this build so empower might not be needed. But that is again up to you. If you want maximum damage and burst then you may go fire harnessing and empower. But staying alive as a light armor player in this season is incredibly difficult so I went for as much sustain as possible.
Heyo, I am getting back into New World and wanna continue playing with BB as i did before. I came across your build but also a medium BB/Flail build. Do you have any experience with that one? I am wondering which one would be more viable for wars/opr with 1vX possibility. Thanks for any insight!
@@jiggyspice6809 Great! Any quick tip before that one as to which do you like more? Iam just now starting to build a set and cant decide at all haha. Thanks so much, such a fast reply!
Does the build still perform well despite SH + Ankh being fixed? They were massively bugged at the time of the video, so pretty much every build was BIS with it no matter what weapons/role/purpose of the build.
It performs even better now. Nobody has any hope at all to outheal the damage you're bringing with this build. You have to play more carefully ofcourse since your own healing capability is lowered also. But the damage is inadvertently buffed for this build as a result. With all potions + shirking heal they cant even heal back the damage from a single shrapnell blast.
Thx, I dont got ankh yet and took Tumbler mainly for the emp/fortify. Crafting a BiS Ring this evening and gonna look how it goes without Shirking Heals. Gonna upgrade the build eventually but then I got sth to work with at least already. I got a lot of refreshing going on my armor pieces atm.. is it not as beneficial as I thought on that build? Then I might try to get more def perk / health pieces. @@jiggyspice6809
I don't think the nerf is substantial so I assume they will still be just as viable. If it turns out that the nerf is huge I'll definitely release an update if I feel they aren't the best choice anymore
Hey Mate! Nice Build, I want to ask, what u think or how see the drops of the artifact in pvp track reward? I really want the Pestilence, i'm already do 15 track lvl but not came artifact..
I like it to be honest. The game needs more gear that is hard to obtain. It's very satisfying when you finally get them. I got pestilence quite fast but it took me 5 days to unlock ankh and I was nonstop farming. What a great feeling when I finally saw it on the track.
Man that build is a great Idea, I wanna try that in a heavy loadout. Do you know, or could you test, if Flamethrower applies the poison stacks from Pestilence? That would be a realy nice to reduce the survivability of the enemies frontline. Cheers!
Thank you! It's a mix of a variety of skins. The chest is from the store, called pauldrons of fear or something. The pants and gloves are from empyrean forge. And the boots might be from a twitch drop
@@andrejadame5233 Oh yeah absolutely you do. Netshot perk is so mandatory I would love to have that on my chest or head. And on my firestaff i went keenly jagged, vicious, flame attun so I also want fireball on armor.
Hello, im building up the same gear and as i see u are not using grenades and net shot perks on armor, can u explain me why? Playing Fs/BB is good to slow the enemy and burst him with fs also grenades are a good option to cut even more the healing of shirking or potions. Thx
Oh you definitely want those perks! I'm working on getting grenades on my chest. And for now I'm using net shot on my boots but I will change it to helmet when I can and put shirking heal on boots. But yes you absolutely want those 2 perks.
@jiggyspice6809 with anhk nerfs is still a good option to go with leeching on ring, shirking heals and leeching shrapnel blast on armor? Also u gonna use 3 bb perks on armor in this case?
@@wardominator.twitch the way I see it ankh got buffed not nerfed. The ankh changes make this build even better. Yes I run shrapnel, grenade and net shot on armor.
It slightly mitigates the damage but not enough. firestaff and BB just hit too hard tbh. Brute build coming soon, although the perk bucket will be very similiar to this. stack health and shirking heals with ankh.
@@jiggyspice6809 what i mean for example, serenity you cant remove refreshing move you can only remove the onslaught/defensive stance stacking buff. The firestaff i can only remove it scales with strength not incinerate buff. Its only letting me replace the unique perks
Nice build - I may have missed it in the video, but where/how did you attain your gear - particulary the armor. I recently switched to a FS play style and enjoy it but im running medium with no pvp perks - so I would like to switch it up to light for the extra DPS and get used to dodging for heals
This is crafted gear using the daily CD craft with the chromatic seal you buy from faction vendor. there are options out there for easily obtainable gear if you just want to try it out. Just a quick little tip, I saw you using both moonstone and emerald for resistances. 1 moonstone and 1 emerald is the same resistance as 2 onyx with also giving strike resistance.
onyx is 2.5% and moonstone etc are 5% but maybe an onyx is still worth so you are better suited against all types. In general though strike is not that important, the flail does very little damage and a warhammer is very easy to dodge and avoid.
It depends on how good your aim is. BB is not the easiest weapon in the game. You have to hit your shots. But if you have experience with shooters then you will be just fine!
Yeah you get slightly more damage mitigation but I like tumblers more. The double SH + 25% empower and refreshing is very nice. With this build you outheal damage so easily that damage mitigation isn't really needed. I've tested this build in both war and influence pushes and I can survive fine even in clumps.
Best HP but it gives barely anymore armour. Think it’s like 6%. The heavier builds benefit from this. They get 30% more. Featherweight isn’t for light builds like most players are doing.
seems to rely a lot on bugs and things that will definitelly get nerfed like ankh applying on mana pots, secondary weapon applying disease and shirking heals. i'll probably just wait before trying this build since i believe it's getting nerfed soon anyway
Well, Ankh Is good Just by buffing shirking heals, i did't even knew about mana pots bug and still feeling It so powerful Just cuz allows me to heal a lot more x Dodge.
@@jiggyspice6809 very good brother I didn’t know that. I just couldn’t resist the net shot perk lol. It’s too OP in small scale PvP. But you can’t gem certain artifacts, correct? I swear I couldn’t gem abyss and my buddy told me pesty too but he was mistaken.
Ohh ,I love it. Another theaory crafter! A proper pvp player will realize , this build is not Meta at all. Ur big surviving thing based on wrong theory. 1 : low mobility. ( Dodge is not way to escape) Vs ranged: firestaff or bow ,muscet but Vs spear u have no chance. Compare to Fs/ Great Axe u loose all time . 2: Shirking Forty will pop even if u have missing 100 Hp . And is very situational. 3: many people will play elemental or fire resistance. As you do too. Etc ... But on pve is awesome.
I respect your opinion. But so far I have had good results in all gamemodes with this build. Maybe I should have made the montage at the end longer. You are right though. As a solo the shirking heal reliance is a challenge. Especially versus ranged players. It's hard to proc SH against ranged. But I. Large scale pvp and arena this build is insanely good. If you have a pocket healer it is absurdly strong. But vs any melee this build will always win.
4:10 the bis for this build would probably be swapping refreshing toast with refreshing or the healing heart perk, i dont think heartrune heal counts as the consumable that Ankh is mentioning so potention for 15% health on heartrune there Running refreshing toast, is not that viable since your animation locking yourself for often for a tiny heal. Even regular refreshing would just be better at that point
Yeah could be true. Although the healthy toast boosts the mana potion heal with ankh and since you no longer get mana for dodging you have to drink mana potions regardless just to keep your mana up. But I will check that out. It's the main reason I didn't craft an earring yet. I need to think about the perks more
@@jiggyspice6809 how does it go in pve? ive just came back after 2 years, not really looking for expedition builds just something i can run for questing and general open world stuff
@@bl1tzcraft If you are just leveling up I would always recommend either firestaff and rapier or bow and rapier, just because you are so quick to move around, you kill mobs super fast and being ranged is just so nice and easy. But for the most part if you are still new to the game then just experiment on your own and see whats fun. Min/maxing builds doesn't matter untill you are doing endgame activities. And questing and leveling can be done with any build. But if you want the most laid back build for questing then bow/rapier because of all the haste and high damage+survivability. I can recommend Ulfhednar on twitch for PvE needs though, he's a good friend of mine and I am always asking him when I have questions for PvE stuff. He's always answering questions in his chat.
I see few comments mentioning featherweight and I think it is widely overrated at this point. When using ankh you want to stack healing rather than resistance. Featherweight is great if you are a musket for example to get that extra resistance. what would you recommend for a better gem combo btw?
@@jiggyspice6809 The gem combo rule of thumb is, don't put Moonstone and Emerald in your build togheter, you can either go X onyxes + Y moonstone/Y emerald. The reason is simple, 2 onyxes gives 5% resistance to all types, exact same as having 1 moonstone and 1 emerald. Now with you the things are a little more different, you gain 1% slash resistance that's true, but you lose 9% Strike resistance, and after the patch, strike resistance can no longer be neglected as the last patch, so i don't think the 1 to 9 tradeoff is worth it. Regarding to featherweight, you need to compare the shoes to it, the fortify on the shoes is neglectable, the empower is nice but the uptime is probably 5%, so basically you are comparing having 30% more armor, which has big additional returns with each fortify effect of BB ( 50% when under 50% health saves you from the rare moments when you get stuck in between the 5s shirking heals cooldown ). I think featherweight is superior on average in a light build.
Hey thank you for the feedback. What exactly is wrong with it from ur end? Is the bass too boosted? It sounds fine on my system but maybe my settings are different. Really value feedback like this
Be careful spending too much money chasing min max as they have a history of nerfing anything that shows advantage. Be a shame if they fo that and instantly destroy this build.
This is bugged. The poison isn’t supposed to be proccing on the fire staff. You’re build is nice but you’re just using broken stuff. Nice video though, just don’t expect the poison to stay the way it is.
Yeah that is the general consesus, i also believe it is a bug and not intended but we never know with AGS tbh. In any case, this is made with that in mind though. The build will still be incredibly strong even if the firestaff doesnt apply disease. It's only 3 stacks you need to apply which is easy to do with the BB.
@@jiggyspice6809 I honestly don't know how to make money in this game. All resources are impossible to farm and all gear seems to be bound to player or bind on pickup.
@@iCore7Gaming I honestly don't know either. I bought mats to craft a BiS fire staff with chromatic scarab and sold it for 400k. 220k profit. And that funded everything else I needed crafted.
tumbler shoes are better than featherweight due to the double shirking heal and empower and refreshing. with the ankh amulet you will have no issue staying alive. I have played this build in 2 wars and influence pushes and i have no issue staying alive in clumps or 1vX at all. Certainly no build can 2 shot you, other than a BB build ofcourse, but if you get 2 shot you were not paying attention and that cannot be blamed on your build, thats just individual skill or lack of awareness.
