Harbor Freight batteries are gold. Part of the deal is the quality of the charger, and never ever let them overcharge/heatup. Great video, will attempt this mod. Edit: Just did, added some epoxy E600, and now that I had opened it glued 2 heavy steel nuts to balance the weight on the transmitter. Feels snug, and no more play in the steering wheel, smooth as butter.
did just as you said but since we are going SAE 15/32 to 12mm , you will need to take off approx 0.150 more off with a round file ,or use a 12mm drill bit. worked good though & really made it feel more precise. thank for the tip Mike
i just put a tiny dab of grease on the steering wheel shaft and that stopped my squeaking. great tutorial anyway i love watching all the mods you can do to the fs gt3b
Great tip! That's really a fantastic radio for the price. It seems to do more than my Futaba 3PRKA, and costs a little more than HALF! Granted, my Futaba has almost twice the range, but they're both in the same range of middle line remotes. I got a FS GT2B for my Lunchbox basher, but the GT3B seems like much better value, since I could run 10 cars on one, right? I just subbed you, I feel like this old fart(53), could use some refresher courses on R/C advancements I've missed during my 21 year hiatus from the Hobby!
i know im randomly asking but does anybody know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
@Nolan Nova Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Nolan Nova WTF IT ACTUALLY WORKED! Just hacked my instagram password within ~ 30 mins by using the site. Just had to pay 15 $ but for sure worth the price =) Thanks so much, you saved my account !
It would seem that the only reason it might "squeak" is from the plastic shaft rubbing on the plastic cover. Once the shaft hole is opened, regardless of whether a bearing is inserted or not, the offending interface would've been removed. I see no point in the bearing.
great video sir and killer collection of rigs! im just getting into the hobby and have a fully upgraded all rpm and traxxas and integy aluminum everything 2wd slash, as well as a super hopped up 4wd slash same as the 2wd, a scx10.2 chweokee super modded with a lot of beef tube products and vanquish, and a 2wd rustler all red rpm parts and all red atomic rc aluminum n bell crank etc... just ordered one of these and a 5 pack of recievers that should be here tomorrow, already got the recievers but the seller of the radio on ebay is super slowwww! I will probably do this off rip, my buddy recommended this radio to me because money is tight and he said its a good budget friendly radio, I may end uo getthin the new version in time that has 2 batteries and a touch screen, one battery is the whole bottom base and the other battery is in the pistol grip
great help thank you. I just purchased one of these, and I was wondering about the voltage difference between alkaline and rechargeable AA's thanks. Great mod also.
Hi there! I have made the bearing mod and after a while the squeek came back. I can not really find where it´s coming from. The bearing turns as it should.
the shaft that the wheel is attached has a spring loaded plastic return mechanism inside and it rubs on a low spot witch in time can also squeak, a little lithium grease helps quiet the issue.
For me the problem is very small turn of the wheel, the only mod I see over there is a pully system that actually make two wheels one for drive and one for multiply the movement right on the sensor. I can't make an electric mod for having same results? This transmisor only turns quarter an hour, there is some one can turn half? 🙈 🙈 🙈 Thank you the tip is great the video is super easy!
@@rcmikeklein5512 it it posible to change sensor or something and make turn more? I will definitely put the bearing but I want more turn. Expensives set does? Thanks!
this radio really doesn't have problems however it lacks some features that higher quality race radios have such as throttle curve profiles, steering mixing, punch control, high precision exponential but if you don't need these features this radio is a much better option than the stock rtr radio and the receivers are under 10 dollars each. So to recap you could race with this radio however as your skills improve you will want a radio with all the race options and settings, I love his radio and have many but I don't do much racing with it.
check list first, batteries, clean battery connections, make sure batteries are touching the terminals then check again and if all fails, well it's another 35 bucks and all new again.
