after i run the 'setup', it says finished but there is no icon for it on my computer. PLEASE HELP!!!

No, it records the flight, so you can replay it, but it does not record movie files. You can use fraps to record the playback off of FS as a movie file.

Neither do I own Active Camera nor do I have any experiences with it. I'll keep it in mind for a later tutorial though. - Mike

@ThePilotBuddy I think what you need to change is when you go into "Record", you need to check the "Record AI traffic" also. That should fix it.

Ok. You see, if you start fraps, it will record your game image output. Those files are not being compressed though, they are saved live. That is what causes a significant performance hit on most computers (including mine). I think FSX crashes due to an out of memory situation . Simply put, your computer most likely doesn't have enough RAM to process both FSX and Fraps. FS is very dependant of both CPU and RAM performance.

You can use the cameras in place as normal, or even place your own for amazing shots!

Yes, I use FSrecorder and Walk & Follow for my videos.

Oh yes, very easily in fact. Just remove the installed DLL file. It's called RecorderFSX.dll. Is usually installs it directly into your main FSX directory.

Carefully read the Manual Installation section in the ReadMe file in the ZIP that you download.

awesine tutorial, i learned some things about fsrecorder i didnt know about, particularly the ai traffic playback

when you manual install...it actually gets done faster,all you have to do is drag the dll file to modules instead of wait for the crappy installer to take its own time

I haven't experienced any lag at all, so I think it doesn't effect gameplay.

No, as he said, it records Data, not Video Capture. You can how ever record with FSRecorder, then play back as traffic, and record with Fraps to stick it on RU-vid.

You can play back multiple Traffic files at once, follow them with your plane as a "camera plane", thats how I did it :-)

there is supposed to be a green bar on the page saying fsplayback, when you play it back, but i dont see it on your screen....

@TheGreatFlyer What Windows version are you using? XP, Vista, 7...Those are operating systems. There is also Mac (made by Apple) and various Linux versions.

@NBGZerO Welcome Much - keep up the good work ! - 'build it and they will come' If 'they' tear it down - build it again ! i am looking forward to more of your videos - as far as the FS Recorder goes - it really is for FS 2004 or X - several of addon's available that claim compatibility with FS 2004only have worked with my FS2002 - but FS Recorder means what it says about FS2004 only - I couldn't get it 'rigged' up to work with FS2002 thanks again

That is most likely a problem with your dll.xml file. I'll get more Info on that tomorrow... Mike

I've successfully installed fs recorder on my laptop, but it is not showing in my fsx. I cannot see any add-on tab in my game. I need help.

The view modes are the same as in normal flight.

Yes it is, like Guy said, remove the RecorderFSX.dll, the RecorderFSX.ini in the folder you extracted them into. I'll cover the full deinstall process in part 2. :-)

I have a problem everytime i render when the plane touches down i dont see the spoilers and the reverse thrust why does this happen?

Too bad, my AI Traffic disappears while playing as traffic :| I recorded PMDG 747 Landing but whenever i select replay as traffic i dont see other AI planes, just me and the AI "me". I just wanna fill the airport for it to look alive, Altough taking a plane and recording myself each time will take alot of time.

I need help with FS Recorder, everytime I try to use play. It keeps reloading itself as if I just click the Fly now button repeatedly.The simulator is running, but after a second or less (litterally) it reloads. I have REX2.0, Ultimate Traffic 2, and PMDG 747 and they never messed up before :( Please help

im doing everything right like in this video and when i load up fsx i dont see the addons tab on the bar..and i see is the default stuff and my fspassangerX how can i make it appear and work

I saw the menu up top where you said something about Add-Ons, so I want to know how to get that to come up. It's at the top of the screen and you can change stuff like scenery and all kinds off things... how do you get that to pop up?

ok i downloaded fs recorder and before fs starts it asks me if i allow it to run and i said yes;this is a sign that it has installed correctly. but when i play there is no add-on option in the toolbar and i dont know why. i repaired and re-installed a few time but nothing helped. im running vista any help???????

Use a program called fraps to record a video and then use your editing software to make yor video. You can'T record videos with FSrecorder, it is a data recording program. NBG

hello, i am an fs recorder user but when i record i have a problem. When im recording i fly and land fine and i set it to record AI. When i play back it plays that AI but also the active AI as if i werent playing back. For Example : I land a plane and an a330 is holding short of the runway, but when i play back, it will show the plane holding short but also the plane taking off and it gets in my way and my recording looks bad. Please help me!!! thank you!
