*UPDATE*
As of late 2019, this siren has indirectly been replaced by 2 seperate 508s. The first one is on a new pole next to this building and the second one is a new location on the south side of the town. I don't think this siren will be used anymore.

Here's a video of the (somewhat) low mounted 1003 in Aitkin, Minnesota doing the hi-lo signal for the monthly test. As with most 1003's, it has a stuck solenoid.Well, all I can say is this was rather fun. I set up at 12:55 (sirens are supposed to activate around 1:00). I waited and waited until around 1:20 at which point I decided it wasn't going to go and just packed up. Well, the literal moment I had collapsed the tripod, it winds up. I was really excited and didn't get the best angle, but what made it even better was when it did the hi-lo signal instead of alert like I had expected. This was also by far the loudest siren I've recorded so far, probably due to the low height. It was a little high pitched and I missed the wind up, but hearing a Thunderbolt up close for the first time and especially the hi-lo signal was quite a fun experience.
