Thx Adam. You rock! You saved my bacon...again. You do a really good job. Some people bore the crap out of me, others are so spastic, I just can't stand to hear their voice! You strike a good balance between being entertaining and, presenting the materidl in a easy to follow, easy to understand way.👍🙏
After finally getting an old hand-me-down Diatone Tyrant running, I watched your videos on setting up failsafes and setting the arming switch on my Flysky i6x... and now I'm good to go :) Thank you so much for your info sharing! It helps a lot of us get off the ground - literally.
You prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot my account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
I smile so much Adam ,since I found your channel , You have everything I need to learn and start setting up my first transmitter and receiver ( Flysky FS I6 ) cheers mate for all your help 👍🦘🦘👏👏👍🦘🦘
Sanks so much to you...for this detailed and to the point video. I was out flying a minute ago and wondered if I had put the failsafe on my new plane settings and of course I didn't but I tested it anyway by turning off my FS Tx . Needless to say it kept going. For some reason, even in panic mode, I was able to reconnect before it got away. After that I couldn't remember for the life of me how to set up failsafe so your video was very helpful. Back to terrorizing the neighborhood.
TIP: try to set the elevator and rudder both to 100% and motor to -100%. The plane would go into spiraling down but in the end it slows down and lands like a miracle (at least for gliders). That's what an old PRO pilot taught me years ago...
hi adam, desthy here from the Philippines. nice and very informative videos you have. i have a question though and hope you can help me with it. in my old fm pcm futaba radios, we usually do range checks by walking about 50m from the plane with the transmitter antenna down to see if it works fine...and in some 2.4ghz radios like spectrum, they have a range check button...how do you range check an fs-i6x? thanks!
you could also make the rutter turn to the left or right, while the elevator is slightly up so the plane wouldn't just keep going; it would go in circles
@@RCwithAdam1 but also u can buy zohd gps and use return to home. zohd RTH can be activated by a switch so ur failsafe could put the switch up to start RTH
So if I had an AUX channel set to ReturnToLaunch (GPS Rescue in BetaFlight) when in the "ON" position, I can program the transmitter on my hexacopter to automatically engage and come back if it loses the transmitter signal! Nifty!
Good Lesson Son ! I will be using that a lot ! ....... How good is the i6 to i6x software update ? Have you heard of any problems with it ? Is it buggy ? I want to try it but am nervous ....... Cheers !
Hi Adam. I have a F450 Diy quad. Want to use the Naza mlite with the FS-i6X. Cannot get the Sw-C allocated wity pos1=Manual,pos2=Altti and pos3=Gps. My pos2 ends up in FAILSAFE iso. Altti🤔😪. ENDPOINTS works on pos1 and pos3,but pos2 cant set? Wouter
I only think this applies to drones. Some flysky receivers have problems to detect failsafe. If it doesn't work on your receiver this did the trick for my fs-ia6b. FIX: Go to your controller menu - Function setup - End Points and set you low value for channel 3 to 120%. (throttle chanel) Go to System Setup - RX setup - Failsafe - and setup your failsafe for channel 3, which now can set to -120% (950) Go back and set your end point for channel 3 back to 100% (else you will failsafe when you throttle down ;-) ) Go to failsafe tap in Betaflight and set Minimum length in Valid Pulse Range Settings to 970 (or somewhere else in between 950-990) And then it should work... test it before you fly!
Okay. I have a question. I have a tracked crawler set up with a real time camera to do crawl space inspections with.. My problem is that when the battery on the vehicle itself gets low, it surges backwards. This can be a real problem when it's underneath a house because when it does this, I have no control over it. It has backed itself into tight spots where it knocks the camrea around and once even pulled the entennas off. Can I set a failsafe on my FlySky i6 to avoid this problem? If I have to crawl under a house to retrieve it is one thig, but to have it crawling backwards out of control and possibly damaging the vehicle is a real problem. Can you help me?
hi RCwithAdam i have one problem with my set up i have the same radio but my motor only work when i have half of throttle and some times spin on booth sizes.. can you help me?
Hey! I just checked on my i6. I think yours was on AFHDS mode. In the RX setup menu, Press OK on the AFHDS, then AFHDS 2A should show up. Then select ON. Now the RX SETUP menu should have all many other options, including failsafe. Let me know if this works!
@@RCwithAdam1 Your right, the AFHDS 2A shows up, I then select ON, and the screen now says AFHDS 2A with the word OFF below it, I then select ON and I'm returned to the screen that says AFHDS, weird!
Have you figured out a timer for the i6X? I have seen where there is a software mod for the i6 but don't think it works with the i6X. Or any suggestions for a timer?
Thxs.. But It's better to buy a controller with GPS and configure GPS Rescue Mode in Betaflight, INAV, other softwares, and your model will return to its takeoff point, you can recover it and save it!
Hi! The X6B is a fine receiver, I've used it a lot successfully, but now there are better options out there. Specifically, I'm using the Fli14+ and CrossoverRX receivers instead. But if you don't mind the extra size/weight, they work just fine!
Hi, I have a fs i6 and I want to put a 3ch rx, this receptor is a viable with this transmitter the binding is OK, he works right in all channels, but don't works the failsafe, I do the set up for this 3 ch receptor and when I cut the TX the rc model do not cut...... You know some solution, thank you in advance.....
@@RCwithAdam1 a fly sky 3channels receptor..... Is the recommended for flysky for this transmitter....is ahfs 2a too, and is the same of gt3 flysky transmitter, if you need.... Give you the model correct..... Thank you
@@RCwithAdam1 yes I found out with the bgl autopilot you have to set a switch for RTH and set throttle at a cruising (altitude maintaining) speed. Adam you've helped me before. Thanks for your easy to understand videos plus you make it fun to watch. Don't you dare stop!!!
Good question! No. If the flight battery drains completely or becomes disconnected, the failsafe will not work (although I've never actually tested this). But it doesn't take much voltage to operate the servos, so at super low voltage the motor might not work but servos will.
Adam, I noticed when you moved the throttle a bit the engine turned on in my case I have a dead zone I have to move the stick almost half way up till engine starts to run.Is there a way to fix that.
hi Roger, try calibrating the esc again with your tx. remove the propeller first then move your throttle to wot position. turn on tx, then attach power to rx. usually you will here 2beeps then move throttle to full down. you will hear the esc arm and that's it, esc calibrated. hope this helps.
