😊 I thought I was high enough to recover if it didn’t work. I have since reversed the throws. Now it is Ailerons up and Elevators down. After rebuilding I realized the ailerons are almost twice as big as elevators. So my first throws were ailerons down, elevators up which slammed the nose down abruptly as seen in the video. As soon as weather allows I will test fly it, perhaps a bit higher this time😉
Great mods! I built my first Retro Rocket to spec with a 70mm EDF and the standard landing gear. My second one has directional thrust and is much slower, but has plenty of agility.
It could have been a total loss, the soft fuselage seemed to have taken most damage I suppose you might be able to use the wings again maybe? Btw I like the looks of that a10! I’ve never built a twin edf but might soon! I’ve combined edf’s with prop’s and the sound is awesome especially if the edf is in front of the prop!
I have rebuilt the Marvin rocket. I always say a little glue and a little tape is all you need to fix a foam board airplane. Now I am waiting for good weather for a redemption flight. The A10 is a scratch build using the twin EDFs and flight controller leftovers from a UMX that I crashed in too windy conditions in Sedona AZ. Weighs in at 247grams. I went with a single rudder as duals is a bit more complicated. Flys good albeit slower than the original. I need to do a video of it. I think I will try a prop EDF combo as per your suggestion.
