The Spectrum Analyzer does not lie.
Incidentally, I ended up being called by N9IBM on 15m (1721 miles away) while I was transmitting on my dummy load during this test, took a few trys but I ended up working him from the dummy load! So I think its safe to say, my TX signal is decodable. I still had my SteppIR DB36 connected to antenna port 1, the port to port leakage is allowing a very slight amount of RF to radiate, I suspect about a milliwatt.

Well done for making the video, so many people have this wrong. The compact radios won't thank you for operating full power on FT8 but the adult sized ones with big heatsinks and fans can usually be ragged hard on FT8 without the transmit spectrum deteriorating. Of course the thermal cycling of the PAs is still a fatigue factor. In one of my rigs however feeding Transmit audio in via a rear panel socket could overload circuits PRIOR to the mic gain control. Controversially it might be interesting to see that you could turn the PA bias current down for cooler running on FT8 without affecting the transmit signal. 73
