24 episodes is NOT unpresediented . that used to be standard. the fact is after the 2007 writers strike Ahole TV producers decided to cut eisode counts to save some pocket change. and the right time to end the show would have been the end of season 8 when negan was finnally beaten.

TV shows used to be 20-22 episodes a season, pre-Soprano's split season during a strike... then it changed to these little seasons with half being shown and a big break then the last half. The Walking Dead like most shows that get too big the episodes start getting lackluster, but the seasons without Rick had been enjoyable because we didn't have to focus on Rick and his Winnie the Pooh act, we got more story and learning about other people.

Bro Rick was the best part of the show, especially seasons 3-6. But I do think the seasons without him were actually pretty good.

@@dkres82 they were ok , season 11 was kinda ass because of the ending that didn't quite put a bow on everything. it said no "goodbyes" , because AMC was plkanning spinoffs. so it gave no sense of closure. that's at least i can say for FTWD , it did say it's goodbyes though io hate how they have charlie come and go in one episode.

that's on Robert kirkman he says going there would make the show too "sci-fi". ask me in that regard the man is a complete moron. the fact there are dead shits walking around eating folks because of a virus makes it sci-fi , if your reason for there to be risen dead is any thing other than "act of god" or "no reason given" then you're already stepping into sci-fi territory. So yeah robert kirkman is a dumbass.
