Well said Saylor but it's high time people should start learning the difference between cryto and stock.Well with the economy and stocks at where it is now, I'd be disappointed if people weren't making any error on their portfolio at this time, it was much easier to navigate during the bullrun, regardless I still see and read articles of people pulling over $225k by the weeks in trades, how come?

But your average person is not tech savvy enough to write their own transactions or aquire BTC without these shady, already willingly regulated exchanges. Plus there's no point-of-sale system in place for daily purchases (of any crypto). Without this we are still at the mercy of corporations and governments to allow us to occasionally conduct high fee, tax reportable transactions. That's hardly decentralization.

If you are saying decentralization is dead, you don't know anything about either crypto or bitcoin, probably fiat, and might be mixing them up together.

Why can't I effectively shield my assets from the IRS through crypto? Only the computer nerds can use crypto to its true potential. And they are a tiny speck of the economy. I am disappointed but the fiat powers that be have won and squashed decentralization. Greedy exchanges didn't help. Unless a simple to use point of sale system for decentralized PoW crypto is adopted by the greater economy, we will end up with CBDCs. Saylor invested heavily in Bitcoin at $31,000. How has he avoided bankruptcy? He was out there convincing all who would listen to invest heavily in Bitcoin when it was over $60,000. People have lost a very large amount of money following his advice. A friend invested heavily in Bitcoin using FTX following advice given by this guy. He said don’t worry, I can claim a loss on his tax. Only to discover that he has insufficient transactions history to substantiate his purchases and subsequent loss.

Saylor invested heavily in Bitcoin sub $10,000 coins. His company micro strategy invested in the highs. Micro strategy would go bankrupt before Saylor himself would. And, I doubt that either of those bankruptcy’s come to fruition. I was always told “it’s only a loss if you sell”. And, I don’t think Saylor has any intention of selling BTC. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him add to his BTC holdings by years end.

Great educational content, as always. I appreciate the level-headed approach you take to the news and the markets. Most beginners believe that investing in crypto and stock is all about holding till it rises but that is absolutely wrong. Due to the recent crash in the market and recession we should know that long term price predictions are very difficult to achieve and are based on speculations. Therefore It's better to trade short or long term and make profit. I remember when I just got into crypto back in 2017 but later in 2018 I ended up selling it because I was dumb and I didn't understand it. I studied and learned and now I know how it works. Hey Michael, How many billions you lost with bitcoin? The hedge of inflation, store of wealth and digital gold called bitcoin was not supposed to have NO counterparty risk?. Bitcoin dropped from 69k to 18k before the crash on FTX, so the FTX crash made an insignificant Bitcoin's price drop. Is this right or wrong? Now people talk as if the whole crash in bitcoin price was caused by FTX; but in fact, FTX was responsible for just 1.5k reduction out of the 52.5k price crash. Wake up people! the bubble has pop!

Self-custody for Bitcoin is much easier and safer than it used to be. Hardware wallets like BitBox02, and the steel plate seed backups will outlast even a nuclear war, just like how the Internet was designed to be.

Its panic mode for a lot of retail inventors, rightfully so if you have kept your money and your digital coins on an exchange. I have learned over the last decade that for me, investing is for the long haul 5-10 years. Right now everything is on sale. Never invest in something that you cannot afford to loose.

Because Bitcoin is at the heart of the defi revolution, it is the gamechanger i.e. an alternative to (central) banking. The rest (mostly) is just tradfi thinking, hyping, corrupting and betraying that defi revolution.

I just watched a movie-documentary on Netflix called "Trust No One: The Hunt for The Crypto King", it's about a Canadian Crypto exchange called "QuadrigaCX" and it's founder Gerald Cotten (also knows as Jerry Cotten). This guy is just as bad as SBF, and there many parallels between Jerry Cotten (now supposedly deceased) and SBF. It's like SBF actually took the playbook of Jerry Cotten and made some tweaks. SBF's fraud was just on a much larger scale.

Riddle me this why do people have to remove their crypto off exchanges in order to keep it safe? Imagine having to remove your stock from a brokerage or money from the bank to keep it safe? Having to remove crypto from the exchanges may keep your crypto safe but is a vote of no confidence and really makes the argument for regulation.

Its a pretty much the opposite of traditional banking. Where your money is safer in a bank normally. Well in Crypto the bank is the exchanges like FTX. You technically own the Crypto but don't have the keys. Its risky to hold on these exchanges., Or you could put it on an online wallet where you actually own the keys and is secure or even into a cold Wallet where it is located on a drive in physical form. so the closer the Crypto is to you, the more secure it is.

@@IAMPOPP CEX are way more secured in that sense. If you lose your crypto in a CEX, the chances of recovery is way higher than losing that in a random online wallet. The support, facilitation of documented execution of crypto trades within internal systems. You name it. PS: Not financial advice
