Hey Len , Thanks so much for the kind words there buddy and congratulations on the new truck the FTX DR8 is a great way to get going . Definitely worth doing there center diff makes hell of a difference , may i suggest looking at the front and rear , i would use 100k in the front and 60/70k in the rear , just those changes alone made the car accelerate so much better. really appreciate your views and comments buddy Stay Safe Chris :)

Lots of hard work but i think its worth it . As for the DR8 i no longer own it anymore , i sold it unfortunately i wish i never now as had loads planned for it but thinking of picking up another at some point. Stay safe there buddy . Chris :)
I've got the same one with 6s in likes to flip alot I think I need to look at suspension on it great fun also have a hpi baja original 23cc engine in it from 2005 not as fast though just sounds amazing
I honestly admire this rc car, and I've seen a lot of videos that actually show what a beast it is !! But once again there is the same problem with finding it in my country and a good importer which leads to the lack of spares parts availability that comes with that, damn it !!!!

Hi buddy fantastic video yeah definitely upgrade the streeing servo I did on mine I've got the 25kg I think maybe 30kg servo so more faster on streeing. Plus I've got rear wing taking wheel off because of the Wight. And I got some body clips the arrma body clips now much better so you don't lose them. My esc could on fire 🔥 so I think should of upgrade esc like I have much better now. And upgrade the motor pinion gear 12 to 15 or 16t 😊😊😮
Hey Mogg , How that your doing great buddy , As you say yeah the servo upgrade on these is a must and tightening down the servo saver is a good option to get a better response . I fitted a 35KG DS3235 pro and got to say its been great , So much so i fitted them to most of my trucks now . As for removing the wheel , im on the bench about that as i did do it but having said that didnt find a good solution to fitting the typhon wing to it . As for the ESC hmmmm thats odd i have not encountered this issue , the 10BL150 thats in it is rock solid for me , only issue i had with it is not being able to adjust the bec Voltage . How do you find the Dr8 , as I'm on the fence about getting one ,my experience with ftx the grub screws on the motor and centre shafts always could do with threadlock and tightening Your right about the rc community, even when I raced nitro rallyX ,my competitors always helped out if needed
Hey buddy, Yeah the DR8 pound for pound is one of the best 1/8 scales . Very tough , super fast , great electrics ( apart from the servo ) , easy to wrench on . Very very surprised on how they managed to sell them at the price they are . It's a bargain honestly . Get one ! Chris 😎🤙🚀
hi. My DR8 has stopped working, i have steering but no throttle. Esc is reset and receiver red light is on and it will steer but i have no drive. You say in the video the receiver has an input for the motor. Which channel is yours in please as i cant see it on your vid and i cant see where the wires go for the input to the motor. There are 2 x 3 wires for steering and throttle and then a black and red cable thats going nowhere on my car. I think it might have been pulled out of somewhere. Hopefully you'll see this and thanks for the video.
