Excellent video I've recently joined the hobby of rock crawling I do have a brushless ecx ruckus and after looking on RU-vid about the ftx kanyon I come across you're video now mines running on lipo 😁 I probably should of read the instructions but who reads them 🤷🤣

Thanks mate this was ever so helpful I had mine in lipo mode and it was cutting out all the time-using standard Nimh battery so I thought the battery had it so was going to by a new one many thanks again
Nice one matey, thanks for the changing modes information regarding the FTX Kenyon 4x4 RC. I've got the strengthening mod to do on mine. I need to buy the mental bars for it, so I can get it sorted out and be a lot more stronger than it is right now.
Nice little vid was looking for specs of esc befor mine arrived to see if I can run lipo dose the esc have a preset voltage cut out in lipo setting don't want to blow myself up ;)
@@009ADVENTURES the steel support you put just two questions, the hole you drilled for the shocks did you thread it for the bolt or held in the shocks with screw and nut? Second question what weight shock oil or have you changed yours yet. Cheers mate.
I just drilled holes in the alloy and used a nut and bolt 👍 haven't changed the shock oil it's still as it was whatever it came with. not had any issues with them
thanks bud, no reverse , have you checked the throttle trim on transmitter? that's a common overlooked thing to start with. if you have a volt meter you can check to see if the motor is getting power from the esc. let us know how you get on 👍
it's around walking pace on the stock battery and a little faster on lipo.. theres a point , I've not seen a video actually comparing the 2 with gps 🤔 could be a useful video as I get asked this all the time 👍
yes it certainly can bud :) same esc as this one , yes stick to 2s .. it will have a bit more power on lipo too! just incase you don't know you will need a lipo charger for the lipo battery 😃👍🐿
Good video fella. If i upgrade from NimH to Li-po.. do I need to buy another charger for the Li-po battery or can i use the NimH battery chargers that iv'e already got?...Cheers.

All sold out on Ebay...China sites showing NO stock too...! This is a Beasty rig.....Very well made...! Some folks will not get this now. !
@@009ADVENTURES Iv'e put a whole NEW Aluminium Frame on mine. 15mm X 15mm... OUTSIDE profile. Rock solid now...But the body roll is horrendous..! Adjusting the shocks is not a real solution because i like them soft. Upping the Body stays has helped by 5 mil. Mount the shocks on the rail i hear you say...? It's an ok mod but I want to keep the truck as bog standard as possible.. I'm an old Tamiya fan... This stuff is kinda new to me..But i know my Onions...;)
good you done the most important chassis mod 😃 I dont get the body roll issue any more and still soft enough , I appreciate everyone has their own setup preferences but give mounting on the rail a try, then you can slacken the springs right off and it should be soft enough. nothing to loose it's only a hole in the alloy 👍
