When I purchased the FTX Gladius (with my own money) for review I had high hopes but... I never imagined just how good this RC rock crawler RC trail truck would be with just a few small tweaks! It's also one of the cheapest RTR Rock Crawlers in its class. It's pretty much a TRX4 clone, from what I can make out it is different but not by much. If performance on a budget is what you need then I don't know of another truck that has this much chance of ticking your boxes. Thank you, Jono. I agree this thing really does give a lot for very little. It's just 299 here in the UK compared to the Traxxas it's a real bargain!

Hi Michael, I also thought it did very well. The few changes I've made really do seem to have taken the stock vehicle from good, too great! I suspect I'll make some more changes along the way but for now I am very happy 😊. Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment.

Great video. Like the mods and simple but looking very effective. Can i ask why the hobbywing 880 instead of the 1080? Looking to change over in our gladius so would love to hear your thoughts. Keep up the great work

Hiya DDRC so the reason I went with the 880 honestly was that I had one from my BronX that was sitting in a box unused and the bonus with it is the ability to use 3 and 4s batteries. They are also very cheap ;) I have my Gladius in bits and lots of content inbound covering cheap but very effective mods. You have a great truck there, I hope you get time to enjoy it. ATB Dwight

The gladius is my daughter's and like it so much I am going to get one. 😂 This one is in pieces too waiting for parts as I broke steering tab off front axle by slamming into it with a mt10🤦. Can't wait to see changes you have planned. Keep up the great work
