@Kyle Frybow because you get a kit and replace the o-rings and filters and clean it out like he did. It's basically what the "reman" ones are. Or you can spend $300+ on a new set.

Just to think that the only way to clean up the injectors a few years ago was to take them to a specialized company highly train to do the job. These days all that myth is gone just by watching a DIY video. Thank you for sharing - very useful information.

Wait you didn’t replace the seal?!?! You are playing with fire, like literally. I have a friend who owns a Pontiac Grand AM and he did an cylinder head rebuild on that car and he didn’t replace the o ring on fuel injectors. Two weeks later his car was suddenly on fire while he was driving, good thing that he had a two liter coke in the trunk, he didn’t tell me if it were Pepsi or Coca Cola, however he put out the fire very successfully. I think it might have to do with all the carbon dioxide in the coke. Because people tell me it is near impossible to stop gasoline from burning with just water, but who would have thought coke can do such an excellent job? After that he spent two weeks basically in the junk yard pulling wires and connectors and replaced all the melted components, and he fixed it, no check engine light, no DTC. He did a pretty good job, but it really can’t be any better than it used to be, can it?The moral of the story is seals are cheap comparing to the potential damage that it may cause. It will total the car, or worse it may total the driver.

greetings, good work. I have a marine engine. A lot of gasoline is coming to the injectors, but I think it is not going to the spark plugs, because they are dry. Also, when I press the starter, it throws oily gasoline from the exhaust. The injectors were tested and found to be sound. What do you think could be the reason? I wish you a good day.

they do. either in tank, in engine bay, or in the line between the tank and engine bay.

Some cars don't have serviceable filters. The are in the tank for a reason. You are not supposed to change it.

InfiniteLoop they are to last the life-time of the fuel pump. on a side note, a partially clogged filter will shorten the life of the pump...

No matter how much i clean my injectors the spray pattern stays like 2 or 3 lines and never a fine mist like in the video ! any ideas ?

The injectors is done, it needs replacing, but for final trying, hit the injectors side wall with a metal object, it will vibrate what's stuck in side the injector, and then spray backward and the again from the inlet, some times this method fix it

Old but for anyone browsing comments.. Cleaned mine on my 05 Sentra and car runs significantly better. Had a random misfire code that went away, all aspects have improved (power, response, idle, etc) haven’t filled up to see if MPG is better but cars mpg estimator says it has which has always been close to actual mpg. If it’s something you can do confidently I say do it!
