Fuel meter not working ?? | how to check fuel meter of motorcycle or scooter if its not working 

In this video you will learn how to check fuel meter and its wiring if its not working. The process will be same for any motorcycle and scooter. The fuel meter works on 3 wires , 1st is +ve , 2nd is - ve to the battery and 3rd is single wire which is also a -ve wire . If your fuel meter is not working then first check if the fuel meter is getting 12 volt or not , you can do that by simply check the neutral light because everything in speedometer gets + ve from same wire.
Once you sure that the fuel meter is getting the 12 volt now take a piece of wire and connect the two wires connected to the fuel level gauge in the tank . If the fuel meter needle goes toward the full then all of you wires and fuel meter is good and the fuel level gauge or its wire must be gone bad. But if there is no reading shown in the fuel meter after connecting these 2 wires then there might be two problems 1) broken wires , 2) faulty fuel meter .
To check if your wires are in good condition you need to use a multi-meter and set it on continuity then check both wires continuity with battery -ve , one wire should give you beep sound and another should give you readings , if not then the wire must be broken and you need to track and fix them.
After checking the wires if they are all good then to be sure if the fuel meter is faulty or not , you need to open the speedometer and connect the two wires which are - ve and see if you got any reading or not , if no reading then the fuel meter is faulty and if you got reading then fuel meter is good and then do check the wire by tracking them for any break at any point.
