Sir is it a good practice to close all the steam line and wait for the temperature to come down before opening the lsmg? To prevent gasing in the system taht may cause fluctuations in fuel oil pressure.
Sir from main engine. when you change over it from vlsfo to lsmgo we know that the lsmgo will pass on the same system. Does lsmgo will mix in the mixing tank ?
Yes whenever u do fuel oil changeover both the grades will eventually mix at some point in the mixing column. But always remember to keep the return valve from the mixing column to the vlsfo tank otherwise whole fuel will get wasted.
